Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Apple fans were very disappointed when it was announced the AirPower charging mat was canceled. Stuck in limbo, Vissles has stepped up to the plate with its 3-in-1 wireless charging mat. Design Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Right out the box, you will notice that the device is very light, nothing extraordinarily fancy, and entirely made of plastic. But that don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s poorly made device. The hole which lights up when your phone is placed on the mat is where your Apple Watch charger will go. I do not own Apple’s smartwatch, so I wasn’t able to utilize it. On the back of the device is a USB-C power port. If you are an Apple Watch owner installation of the charger is very easy. Included with the charging m...

Source: Warner Bros. Pictures / Warner Bros. Pictures At the height of the success of his Dark Knight franchise, Christopher Nolan was enjoying the sort of success that very few Hollywood directors enjoy throughout a lifetime of work. But after dropping a smash hit in Inception, Nolan’s next films such as Interstellar and Dunkirk failed to receive the box office success as his previous projects. Looking to get back into the black of box office receipts, Nolan returns with his latest time-bending international espionage film TENET which stars John David Washington and Robert “Batman” Pattinson as secret agents on a mission to stop World War III. Using sci-fi elements and time manipulation to keep a global conflict from popping off, Washington and Pattinson find that saving the world in the ...
“First Stream Latin” is a compilation of the best new Latin songs, albums and videos recommended by the Billboard Latin editors. Check out this week’s picks below. Carlos Vives – Cumbiana (Sony Music Latin) Carlos Vives’ extraordinary recording career reaches a new milestone with Cumbiana (released May 22), his foray into the indigenous roots of Colombian music. At its best, the 10-track album is Vives at his finest: exuberant, soulful, beautiful and important without ever sounding overbearing, a very difficult balance to achieve. Marrying Colombia’s past with the future, Cumbiana has already delivered a chart hit with “No te vayas.” But the best is yet to come. Opener track “Hechizera,” begins with the sounds of Colombia’s countryside, then Jessie Reyez’s wel...
Christina Aguilera took to social media on Wednesday (April 20) to show her love for Kim Kardashian West’s latest outfit of the day. “Love it…so dirrrtyyy,” Aguilera wrote, retweeting a number of snaps of Kardashian rocking a white bikini and pair of chaps, which the reality star had cheekily captioned, “All dressed up with nowhere to go.” Fans were quick to point out that Kardashian’s daring look gave gave off major “Dirrty” vibes, with many commenting that the look easily could’ve come straight out of the video shoot for Aguilera’s gloriously raunchy 2002 single. One eagle-eyed fan even responded to the tweet by sharing a throwback photo of the pop star performing live in a remarkably similar all-white get-up. While Aguile...
The show must go on! At least that’s what the organizers behind the outdoor concert event at Charles Clore Park in Tel Aviv thought when they put together a live music gathering that drew 3,000 people in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The show featured well-known Israeli acts like Aviv Geffen and pop singer Rita. A bunch of tours and festivals have been canceled due to the pandemic (and some experts saying shows won’t happen until 2021_, but that didn’t dissuade anyone here. Israel has been going through lockdown restrictions since mid-March but has slowly been easing back on the lockdown since late April. But that still didn’t mean that concerts could go on. But this event was veiled as a “cultural protest,” which is technically allowed according to Israel’s health regulations. In...
Only hours after they dropped the latest offering from their upcoming album, Women in Music Pt. III, HAIM debuted “Don’t Wanna” on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Thursday night (May 21). Set up at their homes, they did a somewhat stripped down version of “Don’t Wanna.” As the song progresses, you can tell that this will be a good live song — whenever that may be. And no at-home Haim performance would be complete without their light show at the end. While Danielle, Este and Alana have been sharing great dance videos on social media, the three have been quarantining in their own homes. So when Corden asked the band who has been having the most difficult time with social distancing, Alana and Danielle quickly pointed to Este, who openly admitted that she’s “really bad...
It hurts to see something like this. From all reports, Fieros Forever was a work of love by a man named Tim Evans, and his specialty shop worked on, preserved, and displayed Pontiac’s sporty little mid-engined runabout. The shop, located in Midland, Michigan, was struck by floodwaters that were released when the Edenville Dam failed during immense rainfall this month. The floodwaters then crested the Sanford Dam, upstream on the Tittabawassee River from Midland, where Fieros Forever is located. As you can see, the result is heartbreaking. Of course, these are cars, which can—given time and money—be repaired. The human cost of the flooding will be harder to fix than a handful of Pontiacs. But what happened to this Fiero shop is just a slice of the unfolding tragedy in the Tittabawasse...
Quarantine is causing everyone to question…well, everything. That includes reworking classic songs to reflect these times. On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Billy Idol showed up to perform a “social distancing remix” of his classic ’80s power anthem “Dancing With Myself.” The song has certainly taken on new meaning in recent months, that’s for sure. Joined by Jimmy Fallon, the Roots and their at-home instruments, it was definitely a…different version of the song. In February, Idol joined New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio in a campaign to fight the unnecessary idling of cars in the city. “When I heard about this campaign it just made sense,” Idol said at the time. “It’s amusing but also very serious.” Check it out below. After facing heavy criticism on thoughts she expressed via Instagram earlier on Thursday (May 21), Lana Del Rey is defending herself. In her original post, the singer called out fellow female stars Doja Cat, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé, who “have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f—ing, cheating, etc.” She then asked if she can continue singing about her own dark past “without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?” “To be clear because I knowwwwww you love to twist things,” she wrote in the comments section of her post. “I f—ing love these singers and know them. that is why I mention them.” “I would also like to have some of the same freedo...
Plus: Polo G set to start at No. 2 with “The Goat” & Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit’s “Reunions” rushing towards top 15 after wide release. Future is set for his seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as High Off Life should open in the top slot on next week’s chart, according to industry forecasters. Prognosticators suggest the new album, which was released on May 15 via Freebandz/Epic Records, could start with over 140,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending May 21. Perhaps about 85% of the album’s starting unit sum will be driven by streaming activity. Future has previously hit No. 1 with Future HNDRXX Presents: The WIZRD (in 2019), HNDRXX, a self-titled album (both in 2017), Evol (2016), What a Time To Be Alive (with Drake) and DS2 (both in 2015). Donny Benét doesn’t just operate in his own lane. He owns it. The Don returns today (May 22) with Mr Experience as a wiser, smarter, more mature artist, but every bit the same “Australian piss-taker,” in his own words. Mr Experience is a party in a package, which funks its way across 10 tracks. It’s the culmination of two years’ work, during which time the Sydney singer, bass player and producer created a pool of 30 songs. “Some are completely finished, some I’ve just started and an hour later started swearing and dragged it into the ‘rejects’ folder,” he tells Billboard. “I haven’t dropped the rejects folder into the trash. It’s good to look back and see where you’re at.” Benét is always looking forward, even if his sound and style harks back to a glorious age when we rolled up our j...
