HHW Gaming Exclusive: ‘Uncharted Movie’s Tati Gabrielle Wants To Bring ‘Beyond: Two Souls’ To The Big Screen

Hollywood and video games should have a much better relationship, but thanks to some very forgettable films based on popular video game franchises, that is sadly not the case. Lately, the trend has been heading in a more positive direction as the dreaded “video game curse” that normally dooms movies based on games seems to be becoming an afterthought. Uncharted, PlayStation Studios’ first foray into the world of cinema, hopes to continue the trend. We spoke with one of the film’s stars Tati Gabrielle about her involvement in the highly anticipated film. In Uncharted, we follow a young Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a young street-savvy thief who gets lured into the world of treasure hunting by Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” Nike Air Force 1’s Might Not Drop

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: @levibentlee / Instagram Sorry sneakerheads, but it looks like the Drake “Certified Lover Boy” Air Force 1’s might not be making their way to your closet after all. Back in July of 2021 a picture was leaked of a pair of white-on-white OVO Air Force 1’s which had “Love You Forever” on the midsole instead of the customary “Air” along with heart shaped bumps on the front bottom soles. Immediately Drake Stans and sneaker aficionados went crazy as word was the kicks were set to drop in 2022, but unfortunately HypeBeast is reporting that the release may have been scrapped as the complexity of the design might have proven a bit much for a general or even limited release. On the flip side, Brendan Dunne disagrees with the rumor and says his source at Nike informe...

Bounce: Twitter Remembers J Dilla On What Would Have Been His 48th BIrthday

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Gregory Bojorquez / Getty J Dilla left such an ineffaceable mark on Hip-Hop music and beyond, displaying production mastery that has been imitated widely but never duplicated. The late, great Detroit beatsmith and rapper would have been 48 today, and fans on Twitter are gathering to celebrate his life and legacy. Born James Dewitt Yancey on February 7, 1974, the tale of how the producer once known as Jay Dee morphed into J Dilla began on the east side of the Motor City as the eldest of four children. His parents, singer Maureen “MaDukes” Yancey-Smith and bassist Beverly Dewitt Yancey, passed on their love of music to their children but young James was bitten early by the Hip-Hop bug and the “pause tape” art of sampling classic records. As the story ...

Twitter Reacts To Viral Sip & Paint Video

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: South_agency / Getty A new viral video has spread across social media (and btw, my use of the words “viral” and “spread” will take on new meanings as you continue to read) and folks on Twitter are having a field day with it. What’s going on in the video reportedly took place during a sip and paint event. Now, for those of you who don’t know what a sip and paint event is, it’s one where patrons drink wine while a professional artist leads them in painting their own art pieces. Some of you might be thinking to yourselves: “Bro, we ain’t stupid and you don’t need to explain to us what a sip and paint event is—it’s pretty much in the title.” Well, yeah, you would think that, wouldn’t you? However, the people depicted in the video may not have understood the a...

In his latest visuals to “Neighbors Know My Name,” 2 Chainz trains a group of women on how to pose in front of the camera and bust some moves to sell his VHS tapes on how to cut a rug with the best of them. Chainz doesn’t actually dance but that’s neither here nor there. Nardo Wick meanwhile gets his playalistic on and in his clip to “Me or Sum” calls on Future and Lil Baby to join him at a private affair where the liquor flows like water and the women are as thick as molasses. Check out the rest of today’s drops and some join...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Stephen Shugerman / Getty Sorry kiddos, but it looks like the highly-anticipated The Boondocks reboot that we were all looking forward to will not be happening after all.
