HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Guillermo Proano/WENN.com / WENN A few weeks ago social media was ablaze with word that Jim Jones and his crew jumped Freddie Gibbs inside the Prime 112 restaurant in Miami. And while there was word that someone did actually record the fight which allegedly included Jim Jones body slamming Gibbs, nothing ever materialized and Gibbs denied the account. Now after weeks of keeping mum on the subject, Capo addressed the topic while doing an interview with Angela Yee on her Lip Service podcast. Yee approached the subject by asking if it was true that he was naming his next album Prime 112 to which Jones stated it was “false.” After the hosts asked if it was a joke, Jim seemed tongue-tied for a second before asking to “skip” to the next topic. After talking abo...

According to court records, the California Court of Appeal rejected the claim of the two officers, Louis Lozano and Eric Mitchell, that the LAPD “improperly used a digital in-car video recording of their private conversations in order to prove their misconduct, and another that they were improperly subjected to questioning about their actions by a supervisor without legal or labor representation present...

Timbaland Compares The Weeknd’s New Album To Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ & He’s Dead Serious

HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Axelle/Bauer-Griffin / Getty Music production master Timbaland is really feeling The Weeknd’s new album Dawn FM a little bit too much after dropping this scorching hot take. Timbaland was out here in these innanet streets proclaiming The Weeknd’s new album is comparable to arguably the best pop album of all time and indeed the best-selling album of any genre—Michael Jackson’s Thriller. (OK, technically, the Eagles’ greatest hits album surpassed Thriller in sales in 2018, but since that album was released in1976, which is six years before MJ’s 1982 classic dropped, I’m still giving the King of Pop his crown.) “This album different, yo. This shi** right here, this on some Thriller sh**,” the Verzus co-creator said in a video originally poste...

Reason said “I feel like if you lined up Fabolous and André 3000, I got my money on Fab. That’s how I feel.” Yeah, we don’t know about all that. Yes, Fabolous is a beast on the mic, but André 3 Stacks has a catalog of classics in both rapping and singing. Fab can’t say the same. Though Lathan tried to reason with Reason that Andre...
