HipHopWired Featured Video It’s been a few months since Kendrick Lamar blessed us with his latest project, Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, but that isn’t keeping the man from dropping a new visual for one the album’s standout cuts. Coming through with a short film for “We Cry Together,” K. Dot ditches the audio from the album and goes live and direct with it as he argues up a storm with the talented Taylour Paige and reminds us that he truly is a once in a generation artist that we need to appreciate while he’s here. It was like watching a play and we loved every second of it. Related Stories Back in Yonkers, DJ Khaled continues to push his GOD DID album and for his clip to “JADAKISS INTERLUDE” links up with Jay-To-The-Muah on his home turf where it was kinda weird to see Khaled hang ou...

Last year, the Greek Freak shared the top spot with LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, now they sit behind him, with each of them sharing a 96 rating a...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Prashant Gupta / Netflix Seems like just yesterday Vince Staples had haters raising money for his retirement from rap music. But not only has the North Long Beach rapper continued to bless heads with new work, he’s not linking up with Netflix on an entirely new venture. Netflix has announced that they will be partnering up with the “Blue Suede” rapper for a new series dubbed The Vince Staples Show which is set to go into production sooner than later. Though it will be centered around the artist from the LBC, The Vince Staples Show will actually be a fictional series which will draw inspiration and ideas from the life and times of Vince as he stars in the show as himself. Vince expressed his excitement for the upcoming show. “I am excited to partner with N...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Manny Hernandez / Getty We all know that nothing gets the rumor mill spinning like when celebrities who know one thought were dating are caught out it public together looking like they’re on a date. Well, apparently, that also applies to the family members of celebrities. So, Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife was spotted with Michael Jordan’s son and the two appeared to be on a double date with another couple. Now, for those of us who would not recognize Pippen’s ex or Jordan’s son if we bumped into them at Waffle House and they were both wearing the respective Chicago Bulls jerseys of the NBA legend they’re attached to, we might wonder how anyone even noticed the pair. (To be fair, Pippen’s ex is a Real Housewives star, so, fans would certainly know her. It’s ent...
HipHopWired Featured Video It’s been forever since we’ve gotten a DJ Drama and Jeezy Gangsta Grillz mixtape and while we’re not going to be getting one anytime soon at least they’ve blessed us with a new cut for the real heads out there. Linking up for the visuals to “I Ain’t Gon Hold Ya,” DJ Drama and Jeezy reunite (as does Jeezy’s head with his old bandana) to kick it with some thick young ladies who twerk on a paisley covered couch that’s sure to become a traphouse stable. That’s a gangsta couch. Speaking of gangsta, back in Harlem Dave East keeps it just that and for his clip to “Gangsta” kicks it with his crew at his new store From The Deli up on 145th street. He got some dope murals painted up in there. Check out the rest of today’s drops including work from JID, Tyga, and more. DJ D...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Patrick McMullan / Getty Billionaire rapper/producer/fashion designer, Kanye West returned to social media this week with lengthy diatribes and screenshots on Instagram. The messages appear to be between him and members of his ex-wife’s family, including possibly his ex-wife—Kim Kardashian. Ray J, reality show and former explicit sex tape star, joined in to echo West’s claims that Kris Jenner—the Kardashian Klan matriarch—is the one pulling the strings in every area of her daughters’ lives and careers. Related Stories In regards to the sex tape he made with his then-girlfriend Kim, the “One Wish” crooner chimed in on the stress that West allegedly imposes on his former mother-in-law. “What about my mom Kris? HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Kevin Mazur/VF16 / Getty Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock both addressed the infamous moment at the Oscars when Will Smith slapped rock during the ceremonies over a joke towards Jada Pinkett-Smith. While in England during a joint comedy set, Chappelle took a swipe at Smith and seemingly questioned the actor’s character. Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock were in Liverpool at the 02 Arena, as reported by The Telegraph. The unavoidable elephant in the room was the Oscars moment, which Rock only reportedly touched on in his set and instead told jokes about dating as a middle-aged man, America’s political woes, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Chappelle’s set focused on the controversy surrounding his Netflix special The Closer, but then turned his attention to Smith. ...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Activision / Call of Duty Following Microsoft’s $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision, the million-dollar question that many began to ask was if Call of Duty would become an Xbox-exclusive title. Phil Spencer is doubling down on the game, staying on PlayStation for now. The Verge reports that Xbox chief Phil Spencer verbally committed in a letter to PlayStation’s Jim Ryan that Activision’s uber-popular first-person shooter franchise Call of Duty will remain on PlayStation platforms for “several years.” While that is still highly vague because several years could mean anything, it’s the most clear-cut sign that the game isn’t leaving PlayStation platforms. “In January, we provided a signed agreement to Sony to guarantee Call of Duty on PlaySta...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: ROBYN BECK / Getty Tiffany Haddish has a whole lot of explaining to do. The comedian and actress has addressed the accusations of molestation she is facing with controversial comic Aries Spears. In case you’ve been under a rock, Haddish and Spears have come under fire thanks to a lawsuit where they are accused of grooming an underage sister and brother via their participation in a “skit” that depicted molestation. There’s nothing comical about sexual molestation, but here we are. Related Stories Haddish took to Instagram to cop her pleas, in a post that not so shockingly has its comments turned off. “I know people have a bunch of questions. I get it. I’m right there with you,” begins Haddish’s statement. “Unfortunately, because there is an ongoing legal c...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty JID should be a superstar in every respect, but it appears that he has a sizeable amount of doubters alongside his droves of fans. The curious and often frustrating assessment of the talented lyricist should be shifted by the conclusion of his aggressive yet soulful third studio album, The Forever Story. As it stands, JID is one of the best rappers of his generation and has been for at least a decade despite not having a career-defining project that separates him from his peers. Dating back to his DiCaprio EP debut for Dreamville Records/Interscope in 2015, the promise has always been high for the Atlanta artist. JID’s debut album, The Never Story, expanded on his sound and proved that the rapper, born Destin Route, was one to watch...
