John Madden, the legendary NFL coach, television broadcaster, and namesake of the popular football video game franchise, has died at the age of 85. In a statement released on Tuesday evening, the NFL said Madden passed away “unexpectedly” earlier in the day. A cause of death was not immediately disclosed. For NFL fans, 2021 was a great year. Stadiums returned to capacity crowds after the 2020 season was shortened with limited attendance. Stadium parking lots were again filled with the enthusiastic anticipation of tailgaters and their barbequed camaraderie. It was also a great year for Bitcoin (BTC) investors as the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization reached all-time high prices multiple times throughout 2021, eventually topping out at $69,000 in early November. This led to a dramatic increase in media coverage of Bitcoin. Seven NFL players in 2021 decided to call the audible and begin either being paid in crypto or having their cash salary partially converted to crypto. These players have capitalized on the return of the regular season and the increased profitability of B...
Try not to get triggered, Philadelphia Eagles fans. Despite growing up in the Philly area, Marshmello, a “lifelong fan of the Silver and Black” according to the Raiders, appeared at halftime during the team’s Sunday Night Football showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs last night. The masked hit-maker threw down an electrifying DJ set at Wynn Field Club, a posh nightclub situated in the north endzone at Allegiant Stadium. The 11,000-square foot entertainment venue spans the length of the entire endzone and features a 45,000-watt sound system, multiple bars, and two DJ booths. Mello’s high-energy performance didn’t translate onto the field for the Raiders, who got smoked by the Chiefs thanks to a 406-yard, 5-touchdown performance from 2019 Super Bowl MVP P...

HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Don Juan Moore / Getty The fallout from the Jon Gruden emails continues (lock him up?), and while many of his former defenders have remained silent for the most part, Keyshawn Johnson took the time to remind everyone that he always felt that Gruden was a “fraud.” Speaking on ESPN Radio’s Keyshawn, JWill & Max, the former NFL wide receiver and Super Bowl Champion (a title he won with Gruden in 2003), Johnson didn’t have any hairs on his tongue when describing his former coach’s style and overall personality. “He’s always been a fraud to me… From day one, he’s been a used car salesman and people bought it because he inherited a championship team built by Tony Dungy and Rich McKay, and he came in there with a little bit of different energy than we had wi...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Ethan Miller / Getty If we’ve learned anything in the day and age of modern technology and digital footprints it’s that whatever’s done in the dark will eventually come to light and now NFL coach, Jon Gruden has found himself out of a job due to years old emails in which he showed his true and prejudice character.
