Minister: Nigerians who received coronavirus vaccines abroad must get tested upon arrival
The minister of state for health, Olorunnimbe Mamora, says Nigerians who have received COVID-19 vaccines abroad will still be required to take polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests upon arrival in the country. Speaking on a Channels TV programme on Monday, Mamora said receiving the vaccine is not a license to disregard the already established COVID-19 travel protocol. “The protocol is there already. Okomu Oil Palm wants central bank to review anchor borrowers programme
Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc. wants a review of CBN’s Anchor Borrowers Programme (ABP) to accommodate more farmers and to shore up the nation’s foreign earnings from agriculture. The ABP is targeted at smallholder farmers engaged in the production of rice, maize, wheat and cash crops like oil palm, cocoa and rubber, among others. Kano governor donates N3 million to man who lost seven family members in fire incident
Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has donated N3 million to Malam Abdulrahman Ibrahim Wailari to ameliorate the loss he suffered in a fire disaster that engulfed his house recently. Wailari, a resident of Kumbotso local government area of Kano state, had lost seven members of his family to the inferno. The donation was announced during the flag off ceremony for the distribution of care and maintenance items to 1500 households in the state. The money was meant to enable the victim rebuild his house. Anglican Communion in Nigeria affirms rejection of homosexuality
The Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) on Sunday affirmed its rejection of homosexuality, vowing to defend the gospel of Jesus Christ. NHRC urges Zamfara government to reconsider stand on ‘repentant bandits’
The National Human Rights Commission, on Saturday, expressed concerns over the rising cases of kidnapping of boarding schools’ students in northern parts of the country. Global rights group, Amnesty International, has condemned the arrest of Salihu Tanko Yakasai, who was arrested hours after criticising President Muhammadu Buhari, over the rise in school kidnappings.
