HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Infinity Ward / Call of Duty Microsoft really wants this Activision deal to happen and to ensure it does. The company has reached a 10-year agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles. It’s been nine years since the world’s most popular game, not called Fortnite, was on a Nintendo console, but that has all changed thanks to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision, currently walking on thin ice. To prove to regulators that Microsoft is not trying to keep the competition from being able to compete, the company agreed to a 10-year deal with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles if the Activision Blizzard acquisition clears the hurdles in front of it. HipHopWired Featured Video CLOSE Source: Nintendo / The Super Mario Bros. Movie Nintendo has dropped the second trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and this time it’s hitting a lot better than the first one. The first teaser gave us a taste of Illumination’s upcoming animated adventure, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which features, much to the dismay of fans, Chris Pratt as the voice of the beloved video game plumber. In the second trailer, we get a better look at the gorgeous animated movie and the other characters not named Mario or Bowser (Jack Black). Titled SynthNes, the app effectively allows users to control the system’s five dedicated audio channels NES’s with a MIDI instrument of your choosing. The reason why this works on the old-school Nintendo specifically is because the NES was part of an era in videogame history where consoles were sold containing dedicated sound chips. In the 1980s, CPU and storage technology was in its most primitive form, and the way music was produced in vi...
Go to Mom, Dad, Grandma, or Grandpa’s house and brush off your old Nintendo 64 console because techno artist Remute is back with an album for the classic game console. Remute turned back the knob in gaming and musical history to when 8MB was considered a lot of storage for game systems. He’s now releasing an album, dubbed R64, that users will be able to play on the Nintendo 64. The music is generated in real time with the N64’s 8MB of storage. The German DJ partnered with Rasky, Nintendo 64’s developer for its sound engine and player-GUI. Rasky created a unique 3D visual experience that accompanies Remute’s music and allows the user to fly like Lawnmower Man. You can pre-order R64, which is set for a March 25th, 2022 release date, on Remute’s Bandc...
