Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty As the debate rages on in the U.S. House of Representatives in connection to a possible second impeachment of Donald Trump, some are pushing back. Sen. Tim Scott, an avowed supporter of Trump and the lone Black GOP senator, stands in opposition with the Democratic Party and those in his party who wish to see the former business mogul removed and barred from running for elected office in the future. In a pair of tweets, the South Carolina senator showed his unyielding fealty to President Trump, who promises he’ll finally yield to the will of the voters and will peacefully transfer power over to President-elect Joe Biden. However, Scott has echoed a sentiment that is spreading among his GOP and conservative colleagues that seeking a second impeachment will further f...

As Pro-Trump white terrorists stormed the U.S. Capitol Building, Congress members were forced to take shelter in rooms together to hide from the rioters who were searching for them. After the dust settled and those who participated in the bootleg coup are getting rounded up by the feds and are being put on no-fly lists, some Democrats complained they were sheltering in a room with Republicans who refused to wear a mask to protect each other from COVID-19. “Democratic Rep. Bette Midler Says Trump Will ‘Burn the White House Down’ Before Leaving Office

Ahead of the riot, Trump told a crowd of his supporters, who believe his claims that the election was stolen — since debunked by elections officials as well as the Justice Department — that he was going to walk down to the Capitol with them. He added, “You’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong.” He defended his speech as “totally appropriate” Jan. 12. Midler — an outspoken critic of the president — also wants others whom she believes helped fuel the riots held accountable, namely Rudy Giuliani, Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, and Donald Trump Jr. “Let’s discuss bringing charges against the incendiary traitors who spoke BEFORE #Trump on January 6,” she wrote. Karl R...

Source: Drew Angerer / Getty While it will be just over a week before President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be sworn into office, the political horizon in Washington looks like scorched land. After the horrific act of domestic terrorism at the U.S. Capitol building, GOP leadership warns that the Democrats’ desire to impeach Donald Trump a second time is bad business but AOC isn’t having that. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was a guest on ABC’s This Week program just days after the so-called insurrection at the Capitol building on Jan. 6. AOC, as she’s often called in the media, has earned a reputation as a tough-talking congresswoman while staying true to her strong political convictions. In a letter addressed to President-elect Biden supported by some of the...

Donald Trump’s iPhone Is A Brick After Broad Social Media Ban, Right-Wing Cesspool Parler Shut Down

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Donald Trump has been effectively silenced. After years of gaslighting and racism, the final straw was Donald Trump inciting a coup on the U.S. Capitol for social media companies to say enough is enough. Following the failed act of insurrection, Twitter first suspended Trump’s Twitter account for 12 hours and removed Tweets, including a video in which he continued to push the lie that the election was stolen from him. Mark Zuckerberg took things even further, announcing that Facebook and Instagram banned the liar-in-chief indefinitely. Subsequently, following an open letter from our forever First Lady Michelle Obama calling for all social media companies to take action and give Trump the boot from their services, Jack and his company did it and permanently banned T...

Uganda election: Will Bobi Wine derail Yoweri Museveni’s sixth term bid?

As millions of Ugandans prepare to pick the country’s president this week, the stakes could not be higher. The run-up to Thursday’s vote has been marred by restrictions on campaigning, arrests of opposition figures and deadly violence. At least 54 people were killed in November as security forces put down protests by opposition supporters. Longtime President Yoweri Museveni, 76, is facing a strong challenge from popular musician-turned-politician Bobi Wine in his bid to secure a sixth, five-year term in office. Bobi Wine, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, was just four years old when Museveni, a former rebel leader, came to power in 1986. In 2005, Uganda’s ruling-party-dominated parliament removed presidential term limits. And in 2017, lawmakers scrapped the age limit of 75 fo...

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday described as a triumph of justice, the Federal High Court, Abuja, ruling on the alleged certificate forgery case against the Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki. The court had on Saturday morning dismissed the case filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against the governor for lack of merit. Justice Ahmed Mohammed, who delivered judgment in the case, said APC could not prove its claim that Obaseki forged his academic certificates submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before the September 19, 2019 governorship election in the state. In its reaction to the ruling, the party in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the judgment was a seal on Obaseki’s landslide victory in...
