Matthew McConaughey has bowed out of the upcoming Texas gubernatorial election. The 52-year-old actor announced his decision in a video message posted to Instagram on Sunday night. “As a simple kid born in the little town of Uvalde, Texas, it never occurred to me that I would one day be considered for political leadership,” McConaughey said. “It’s a humbling and inspiring path to ponder. It is also a path that I’m choosing not to take at this moment.” Instead, McConaughey said he would “continue to work and invest the bounty I have by supporting entrepreneurs, businesses and foundations that I’ve believe are leaders, establishments that I believe are creating pathways for people to succeed in life, organizations that have a mission to serve and build trust while also generating prosperity....

The Republican Party once again is sowing seeds of dissent after fighting an article that mentioned a cookware purchase made by Vice President Kamala Harris, and Twitter is getting the weak attempt at a dig out of here. On Friday (Nov. 26), the GOP’s Twitter account linked a story from The Washington Free Beacon titled “Kamala Harris Bought $375 Pot on Paris Trip” with the sub-HED reading, “Spending spree at French boutique comes as US families fret over [the] cost of Thanksgiving dinner.” It is exactly the type of headline meant to inspire outrage from Republican and conservative voters w...

Trump’s New Book is Quite Literally a Picture Book

Former President and known wordsmith Donald Trump is releasing a new book — of pictures. Rolling Stone reports that Our Journey Together, Trump’s first book since he became president, will be released December 7th through Winning Team Publishing, the company he started with Sergio Gor. Yet Trump, king of subtlety, tells the story of “our” journey not through evocative prose, but through the more straightforward curation of 300+ images. Make no mistake, however: Trump wrote the book’s captions. A sneak peak obtained by The Washington Examiner offers a picture of the former president with former Vice President Mike Pence in conversation with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “Attempting to listen to Crazy Nancy Pelosi in the Oval Office — such natural disagreement,” Trump’s caption reads...

Former Punk Rocker Beto O’Rourke Running for Texas Governor

Next year, civilians of Texas will decide whether or not they want to re-elect an anti-abortion troll as their state’s governor. While we don’t want to speak too soon, it appears that the chances of incumbent Greg Abbott winning are getting slimmer and slimmer, especially now that famous former punk Beto O’Rourke has officially joined the gubernatorial race for the 2022 election. O’Rourke, a former Texas congressman, is a man of the people. The Democratic candidate earned the hearts of liberal music geeks nationwide during his 2018 Texas Senate run when word got out that he used to play in punk bands — though noted tone-deaf coward Ted Cruz was not amused. Before he began breaking a sweat on the campaign trail, he was cutting his teeth in El Paso’s DIY rock scene, eventually meeting C...
