For all the havoc he wreaks on Gotham, there’s still a lot we don’t know about the Joker. DC’s comic book series Flashpoint Beyond has divulged some crucial info, however, finally unveiling his very familiar-sounding name: Jack White. In issue #5 of Flashpoint Beyond — a sequel to 2011’s DC-universe-altering Flashpoint — Bruce Wayne’s father, Thomas Wayne (this universe’s Batman), heads to Arkham Asylum to meet with his estranged, incarcerated wife Martha (this universe’s Joker). Martha tells Thomas that she forced Psycho-Pirate, a villain notable for having extensive knowledge of the multiverse, to reveal everything he knew about the main DC Universe timeline, including the Joker’s real name — which, of course, he shares with the former White Stripes frontman. Tha...

Famous Transphobe J.K. Rowling’s New Book Is About a Woman Who Is Persecuted for Being Transphobic

It may seem odd to try to make a racist transphobe a sympathetic character, but hey, that’s J.K. Rowling for you. The author’s latest book, The Ink Black Heart, is all about a content creator who is persecuted for being transphobic — a novel idea, considering Rowling’s history. The Ink Black Heart is part of Rowling’s crime series Cormoran Strike and is written under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith. In the book, YouTube cartoon creator Edie Ledwell is criticized for being racist, ableist, and transphobic in her work (per Rolling Stone). Soon enough, she’s doxxed with photos of her home spread online and receives death and rape threats. You’d be right to assume Rowling got the idea for The Ink Black Heart from her own life, since she has, in recent years, tweeted her supp...

Anne Heche: Toxicology Report Indicates Presence of Drugs at Time of Crash

Actor Anne Heche, 53, remains in a coma following a high-speed car crash into a Los Angeles home on August 5th. Law enforcement officials conducted a toxicology report from blood drawn at the hospital, and according to TMZ, Heche had cocaine in her system at the time of the accident. The blood sample also showed the presence of fentanyl. It’s unclear at this time if the drug was administered by hospital staff after the crash or taken by Heche beforehand. No evidence of alcohol was found, which is notable because TMZ obtained a photo that appeared to show a bottle of alcohol in the cupholder of her Mini Cooper. As a result of the toxicology report, Heche is being investigated for felony DUI, the Los Angeles Police Department told CNN. Advertisement Related Video Heche was driving throu...

Lin-Manuel Miranda Launches Ham4Choice to Fundraise for Abortion Access

Better yet, from now until September 22nd, a $10 donation to Ham4Choice not only helps those most directly impacted by the Supreme Court’s recent overturning of Roe v. Wade, but it also gets you the chance to win tickets — plus hotel and airfare — to not one, but three Hamilton shows. First, the winner and a guest will get to see the musical’s opening night in Hamburg, Germany, where they’ll meet Miranda and partake in pre- and post-show festivities. Then, they’ll get to c...

Pete Davidson in Trauma Therapy Following Harassment from Kanye West: Report

Pete Davidson is reportedly in trauma therapy following the belligerent online harassment he experienced at the hands of Kanye West. A source told People that Davidson began seeking help in April of this year “in large part” due to the rapper’s consistent verbal and physical threats against him, sparked by the Saturday Night Live alum’s romantic relationship with West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian: “The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Davidson], and he’s had to seek out help,” the source added. In addition to his social media tirades, West also encouraged his fans to publicly harass Davidson, and even released music videos that depicted him decapitatating, skinning, and burying the comedian alive. After nine month of dating, h...

Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband Kevin Federline Says Britney’s Kids Are Avoiding Her

Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’ ex-husband with whom she shares two children, said in a new interview with The Daily Mail that their kids have been avoiding their mother and are embarrassed by her frequent postings of nude selfies. In a sprawling interview, Federline said Spears’ sons, 15-year-old Jayden and 16-year-old Sean, have chosen not to see their mom in recent months and didn’t attend her recent wedding to model Sam Asghari. While he declined to go into details, Federline said the boys grew uncomfortable with what they witnessed during their visits in recent years. “There were a lot of things going on that I didn’t feel comfortable with,” Federline said. At the same time, Federline pointed to Spears’ Instagram — namely, the nude pictures she’s taken to posting on her account — as ...

Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian Breakup

Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian have reportedly broken up after nine months of dating. A source close to Kardashian told Page Six that “Kim and Pete have decided to just be friends,” adding: “They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.” The source stressed that the breakup had nothing to do with Kardashian’s ex-husband, Kanye West, who repeatedly berated Davidson over the course of his relationship with Kardashian. Related Video Davidson and Kardashian began dating shortly after Kardashian hosted SNL in October 2021. They made their red carpet debut at the White House’s Correspondents Dinner in April of this year, and also appeared together at the Met Gala — to which...

Jury Orders Alex Jones to Pay Sandy Hook Parents $4 Million in Damages

A Texas jury has ordered conspiracy theorist and Infowars owner Alex Jones to pay the parents of a Sandy Hook shooting victim $4 million in compensatory damages in an ongoing defamation lawsuit. Jones has spent almost a decade arguing that the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School — which left 28 people, including 20 children, dead — was a hoax, and that the parents of the victims were “crisis actors” upholding the lie. One set of parents, Scarlett Lewis and Neil Heslin, sued Jones and his company, Free Speech Systems, in 2018 for defamation, and originally asked for $150 million in compensatory damages. In a verdict signed by 10 members of the 12-member jury, the group landed on $4 million, but a separate trial to decide how much Jones will pay in punitive damages is still forthco...
