Bad Religion and Alkaline Trio Announce Rescheduled 2021 US Tour
Bad Religion and Alkaline Trio will finally get the chance to embark on their co-headlining tour after postponing the outing due to the pandemic. The originally scheduled trek was supposed to kick off in March 2020, the same month the concert industry shut down, but will now launch this October. The newly rescheduled 30-date tour kicks off October 15th in Riverside, California, then makes its way east before returning to the West Coast for a final gig on November 26th in Los Angeles. War on Women will serve as support for the entire run. “This tour is special,” said Bad Religion singer Greg Graffin in a press release. “Not only are we celebrating the return of live music, but we get to do it with Alkaline Trio, who are such a great band, really excited about this!” Related Video Alkaline T...
2021 Punk in Drublic Festivals: NOFX, Pennywise, Less Than Jake, Sick of It All, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and More
NOFX have announced two 2021 editions of their Punk in Drublic Craft Beer + Music Festival, one in Denver and the other in Worcester, Massachusetts. The veteran punk band will headline both events, which are scheduled for July and September, respectively. The Denver edition will take place July 17th at Sculpture Park, and features Less Than Jake, Sick of It All, Get Dead, Potato Pirates, and more acts to be named. The Massachusetts event happens on September 25th, at the Palladium Outdoors in Worcester, and includes The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Pennywise, Get Dead, and more bands to be announced. Mark Hoppus Reveals He Has Cancer
Blink-182 singer and bassist Mark Hoppus revealed on Wednesday that he is undergoing treatment for cancer. After sharing a since-deleted photo of himself in what appeared to be a doctor’s office, Hoppus posted a statement on his Instagram. “For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer,” he wrote. “It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.” Hoppus added, “I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to remain hopeful and positive.” Related Video He did not reveal which kind of cancer he has been diagnosed with, or at what stage it was discovered. AFI Announce 2022 US Tour in Support of New Album Bodies
AFI have announced an early 2022 US headlining tour in support of their new album Bodies. Darkwave act Cold Cave will be along for the 26-date outing. The trek kicks off on February 11th at SOMA in San Diego and hits most major U.S. markets before concluding on March 25th at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California. “So anxiously, we’ve awaited the ability to perform our eleventh record for you,” AFI vocalist Davey Havok said via a press release. “This winter, please join us in the Bodies celebration long overdue.” Related Video AFI have evolved over the years, starting out in the ’90s as a hardcore act, then delivering a string of melodic hard-rock radio hits in the early 2000s.
