We know this might come as a complete and utter shock, but HAIM have once again teamed up with Paul Thomas Anderson. This time, the Licorice Pizza director has helmed the music video for the indie pop band’s new song, “Lost Track.” Like Licorice Pizza, the “Lost Track” music video takes place in the San Fernando Valley of yesteryear. But while the coming-of-age drama was set in the ’70s, this clip imagines Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim as members of a preppy and posh ladies society in the ’50s. Shot on location in Southern California as part of HAIM’s recent cover shoot with W Magazine, the video looks just as good as it sounds. Sonically, “Lost Track” might feel as carefree as a day at the country club, but its lyrics center around melancholia. “I’ll never get back what I ...
Madonna’s latest endeavor includes directing a biopic about her own music career. But before the Queen of Pop gets her story to the silver screen, she has to find its star. Among the actresses who have auditioned for the role? Euphoria breakouts Sydney Sweeney and Barbie Ferreira — as well as Ozark’s Julia Garner. Jeff Sneider of The Ankler reports that Madonna’s biopic is one of the most coveted roles for young actresses in recent memory. Madge herself reportedly had her sights set on Florence Pugh, but considering how many other actresses have been through the auditioning process since then, we’re inclined to believe the Midsommar star might be “hung up” on other projects. Of course, to play a pop star as subversive as Madonna in her early career requires a bit of an edge....
It’s Britney, beach. The pop princess took to Instagram on Monday (Feb. 28) to share a series of fully nude photos from her recent tropical beach vacation in celebration of her fiancé Sam Asghari’s birthday. The four snaps, in which Britney Spears bares it all except for a few small diamond emojis covering her private areas, finds the “Piece of Me” star rolling among the waves in crystal clear waters. She simply captioned the photos with five rose emojis. Over the weekend, Brit shared a sweet video to her Instagram of her and Asghari aboard a private jet as they are en route to celebrate his birthday. The clip included a close-up look at her stunning diamond ring, before the personal trainer takes her hand and kisses it. Explore See latest videos, charts and news “May the birthday celebrat...
The postponement of the 2022 awards season influenced the look that star stylist Kate Young put together for Selena Gomez to wear at Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards. “It feels strange to be so late and just starting [with awards season],” says Young, who did a final fitting with Gomez on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 26. “It’s been a long time for everyone, so we talked a lot about elegant opulence, the idea of something that feels glamorous and fancy. I think everyone is going to be excited about dressing up.” Explore See latest videos, charts and news The Only Murders in the Building actress, attending her first SAG Awards ceremony as part of the Hulu show’s nominated cast for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series...

Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak) began their Las Vegas residency on Friday (February 25th), transforming the Dolby Live theater at Park MGM into a seventies disco. The superduo — whose live appearances have thus far been limited to awards shows — threw what might just be the sexiest dance party Sin City has ever seen. The mood for “An Evening With Silk Sonic” was set from the get-go, as wisps of fog spilled out from under a red velvet curtain while guests settled into their seats. When the venue went dark, signaling the start of the show, the crowd roared in unison. Two screens on opposite sides of the stage flashed images of Silk Sonic sipping cocktails in a tropical setting with flowery button-up shirts, while a giant disco ball hung high above the seats. As the curtain lifted,...
Jillian Rose has declared a Banks holiday: The pop artist’s new album, Serpentina, arrives April 8th, and to celebrate the announcement she debuted the song “Holding Back” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Banks took the ABC stages in a modern three-piece suit: slacks, blazer, and cutaway bra. Alongside four backup dancers with covered faces, she writhed and twisted her way through the apologetic banger. “Love is holding back,” she sang, “I know I’ve done you wrong.” Check out the performance below. This is the latest preview of Serpentina following her two summer singles from last year, the slowed-down “Skinnydipped” and the deliciously sinful “The Devil.” In a statement, Banks explained how she arrived at the title of her next album, writing, “Snakes represent rebirth and th...
Clairo’s 2021 sophomore album Sling is an album of closeness, immediacy, and contemplation; it is turned inward, but the moments that burst out do so like snowfall, and even the warmest, brightest choices are dripped in a haze, like you just woke up and the sun is shining through the corner of your window. So, hearing it performed live in the 6,000-capacity Radio City Music Hall on Thursday night (February 24th) is a little strange. The whimsy and intimacy of Sling almost suggests it should be performed in a cozy cabin somewhere in the woods, but Clairo’s remarkable rise to stardom has proven that the upgrade in venue size is deserved. Considering that Clairo’s debut album Immunity came out only six months before the pandemic began, as well as the fact that her biggest single to date, “Sof...
Disney has released “Nobody Like U” from its upcoming movie Turning Red, written by none other than Billie Eilish and FINNEAS. After a four-year hiatus, DNCE is back, teaming up with Kygo for the aptly titled “Dancing Feet,” which dropped on Friday (Feb. 25). The band’s frontman Joe Jonas has been teasing the release for nearly two weeks, performing the hit with Kygo at the Sports Illustrated Super Bowl Part in Los Angeles on February 12. DNCE’s comeback has a new lineup with the departure of keyboardist Cole Whittle, and Jonas recently told Rolling Stone that he has a completely new vision for the pop-rock act he launched in 2015. “I can kind of foresee it becoming this E Street Band where members come and go,” he told the magazine. “It could be a great opportunity to have some special guests, like obviously Ryan [Tedder], who is a fantastic musician. I can totally see him hopping up onst...
Avril Lavigne has unveiled her brand new album Love Sux via DTA/Elektra Records. Stream it below on Apple Music and Spotify. As the singer’s first full-length studio effort since 2019’s Head Above Water, the album signals a brash and delightfully bratty return to her pop-punk roots with singles like “Bite Me” featuring Travis Barker and the Blackbear-assisted “Love It When You Hate Me.” In addition, the LP contains other collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly (“Bois Lie”) and Barker’s Blink-182 bandmate Mark Hoppus (“All I Wanted”). “The album is light and happy, even though there’s songs about heartbreak and breaking up. But it’s also anthemic, and it’s powerful, and it has a positive message for people to stand up for yourself, to have self-worth,” Lavigne said in a December interview wit...
With her highly-anticipated MOTOMAMI album on the way, Rosalía has dropped her party-starting new single “Chicken Teriyaki.” Watch the accompanying music video below. Featuring a thumping, hypnotic beat co-produced by El Guincho, Sky Rompiendo, Michael Uzowuru, and Noah Goldstein with Rosalía herself, the playful new track features the Spanish artist boasting about her fame and wealth. “En Nueva York visitando a mi joyero,” she sings in a rapped delivery. “Solo quiere cash, yo le doy mi dinero.” In English, this translates to, “In New York visiting my jeweler/ He just wants cash and I give him my money.” In the Tanu Muino-directed video, Rosalía takes a moment to show off some thick gold chains in-between putting on a fierce dance routine alongside a bevy of backup dancers.
