Tove Lo Unveils New Song “How Long”: Stream

Tove Lo has returned with a new song called “How Long,” which appears on the upcoming Euphoria soundtrack. Listen to the song below. Synthesizers snake around “How Long,” which builds from a cool, detached verse to a wary, impassioned chorus. “Try to play it cool/ I like you/ Have me in your hand/ Just like that,” Tove Lo sings at first, over a steady beat. Soon enough, however, she tips her hand. “How long have you loved another while I’m dreaming of us together?” goes her fervent interrogation, as keys bubble. Tove Lo’s edgy electro-pop fits Euphoria’s dingy aesthetic on its own, but “How Long” get a proper needle drop on the show’s next episode, premiering Sunday (January 30th). The artist gushed about contributing to the drama’s soundtrack in a statement. “‘How Long’ is ...

She said her weight began to change after she was cast in Good Times at the age of 11. “I’m an emotional eater, so when I get stressed or something is really bothering me, it comforts me,” she recalled. “I did Good Times and that’s the beginning of having weight issues and the way I looked at myself.” Her stresses were exacerbated by her famous older brother, who would have been about 19 years old at the time. As her weight fluctuated, “There were times when Mike used to tease me an...

Just maybe, Lady Gaga has staged the greatest transformation of them all. The superstar singer’s evolution is staggering, Bowie-esque even, from Stefani Germanotta, to the Gaga so widely known and loved, a chart-topping pop and (sometimes) jazz swinger with a dozen Grammy Awards and an Oscar in her trophy room. As an actor, Gaga turned heads with her performance as Ally in 2018’s A Star Is Born, for which she scooped the Academy Award for best original song (with “Shallow”). And she metamorphoses on screen as Patrizia Reggiani in Ridley Scott’s latest film House Of Gucci, a performance that has critics raving. Some are predicting a second gold statuette. Song of the Week: Lana Del Rey Casts Her Spell with the Melancholic “Watercolor Eyes”

Song of the Week breaks down and talks about the song we just can’t get out of our head each week. Find these songs and more on our Spotify Top Songs playlist. For our favorite new songs from emerging artists, check out our Spotify New Sounds playlist. This week, Lana Del Rey’s cut from the Euphoria soundtrack captures all the glitter and drama of the hit television show. HBO’s Euphoria is a lot of things — trendy, absurd, moving, disturbing, a cinematography dream — but, above all, it is the moment. In an era often dominated by binge-watching, it’s a rarity to see people dutifully tune into new episodes of a show on a weekly basis for fear of missing out on the social conversation. Season 2 of the addiction drama seems just as strong (if not stronger) on that front. Sunday evening trendin...
