The Jonas Brothers have two major songs dropping tomorrow (May 15), “X” featuring Karol G and “5 More Minutes,” which they debuted during their 2020 Grammys performance. But their announcement on Twitter from earlier this week illustrated how putting those titles side-by-side spell out “XV,” or 15 in Roman numerals. The JoBros have been in the music business for the last 15 years, so does that mean the trio plan on celebrating this monumental anniversary with another studio project? The three artists hopped on SiriusXM Hits 1 Celebrity Session today (May 14) to chat with frontline healthcare workers who are combating the coronavirus and to talk about their upcoming music releases, the two fans already have marked on their calendars and then som...
Motown signee Tiana Major9 is doing the other thing she loves best during quarantine: cooking. The East London singer/songwriter, who jumped on American radars last fall with her Earthgang collab “Collide” from the Queen & Slim soundtrack — followed by at spot at Billboard’s 2019 Women In Music celebration — took over Billboard‘s Instagram on Thursday (May 14) to talk about what she’s been dishing up during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. If you follow Tiana on Insta, you know she’s always in the kitchen cooking something up, so, she says, “I’m grateful that I have enough time to work on recipes and nourish my body and really take care.” Her busy day included a deep conditioning of her hair, whipping up a killer pancake b...
The 1975 frontman talks about the band’s sprawling fourth LP ‘Notes on a Conditional Form,’ as well as his own quarantine living, and his band’s new status as critics’ darlings entering their second decade as The 1975. When you’re a four-piece rock band in the year 2020, it’s a hard thing to keep scaling up. But that’s what The 1975 and frontman Matty Healy have done over the course of seven years and three albums — soon to be four, with the release next Friday (May 22) of their much-anticipated new album, Notes on a Conditional Form. While the band’s 2013 self-titled debut brought them fame (and infamy) in their home country of the U.K., and earned them a pop cult following in the U.S., 2016 sophomore set I Like It When...
Post Malone is the uncool suburban mom’s idea of hip-hop, and so it makes sense that he would release a name-brand rosé, which is — let’s be honest — the uncool suburban mom’s idea of wine. Fine, granted, that’s unfair to rosé, which doesn’t have to taste like a pile of sugar dumped into a bucket of food coloring. Perhaps Post Malone’s Maison No. 9 will be a dryer vintage — although, given his musical predilections for sugary-sweet hooks packaged with clever branding, perhaps not. Speaking of branding, the artist born Austin Post has created this wine with Global Brand Equities, the brainchild of nightclub-owner James Morrissey. Combined the two men have a lot more experience drinking wine than making it, and so they’ve brought on oenologist Alexis Cornu. The name Maison No. 9 means “...

“Say So” is the latest hit to get a lift to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks in part to a remix. When Doja Cat’s “Say So” jumped to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, it not only gave the rising star her first chart-topper, but it also marked the latest in a line of singles that got a boost to the top thanks in part to a fresh remix. Nicki Minaj joined Doja Cat for a new reworking of “Say So,” which was released on May 1, and the combined forces of the original version and the remix helped lift the song to No. 1. And, because of the power of the remix, Minaj got credit on the chart as the tune’s featured artist — giving Minaj her first No. 1 on the Hot 100. Considering the news of the “Say So” remix aiding in the No. 1 rise, the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast is taking a stroll d...
You may recognize Julia Michaels from her breakout single “Issues,” which peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, or the rock-tinged “Uh Huh,” another track included on her 2017 debut “mini-album” Nervous System. But chances are, you’ve been listening to the 26-year-old’s catchy, emotive, and often tongue-in-cheek lyricism for longer than you think. Michaels began her music career as a songwriter, penning hits for the likes of Fifth Harmony, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. And her co-writing catalog spans a range of diverse artists and genres, from pop radio material to rugged acoustic sounds and rock. Most recently, Michaels imparted her songwriting wisdom on the Monday (May 11) episode of NBC’s Songland, where sh...

The telethon, hosted by Tina Fey from 30 Rockefeller Plaza, featured numerous famous faces with New York ties, from musicians to Broadway stars to chefs and beyond. Each offered messages of hope and urged viewers to donate to help the people of New York get back on their feet after the devasta...

Only the best of the best get in, and every student is fighting for a spot in the company. Unfortunately Jody has bad feet, but is reluctantly accepted into the school because of her stage presence.
