It’s been over six years since Rihanna released new original solo material, 2016’s ANTI. Contrary to what some might have expected, though, the latest from the artist and business mogul isn’t an explosive comeback to introduce us to 2022 Rihanna — rather, the gentle, tender “Lift Me Up” features her singing over a sparse instrumental. Co-written with rising Nigerian artist Tems, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson, and director Ryan Coogle...

To understand why Ten of NCT, WayV, and SuperM is in such high demand, all you have to do is watch him in motion. Contemporary dance is at the heart of his first solo single, “Dream In a Dream,” which was released four years after he joined Seoul-based company SM Entertainment and one year after he debuted in the ever-shifting NCT U. Empty verses and sparse choruses, as well as a barren set, left room for Ten’s dancing to take center stage. The effect was breathtaking — in 2017, it whet the appetite of those getting their first taste of NCT’s then-novel concept — but more importantly, it showed what Ten brings to the table when twenty-plus members, and multiplying, are seated by his side. Since then, his work in NCT’s Chinese subgroup WayV and SM’s internationally-focused SuperM has peeled...
Jin‘s highly anticipated solo single “The Astronaut” has finally landed. The BTS superstar revealed the stunning, nearly five-minute rock–pop track on Friday (Oct. 28), worldwide alongside its heartwarming music video. While BTS had previously revealed that “The Astronaut” was co-written by Jin and Coldplay, the entire song reveals the stadium-sized rock sound that the British band is known for as a perfect bed for Jin’s steady, soothing vocals. While Jin’s past solo songs like “Awake” and “Epiphany” have proven he can bring raw emotions to his ballads, “The Astronaut” is able to capture that same sentimental approach to a more upbeat, dynamic pop-rock song. If you listen closely, one can even hear Chris Martin seemingly harmonizing with Jin on a few notes. Explore See latest videos,...

Jin of BTS has unveiled his solo single, “The Astronaut,” a dreamy track co-written by Coldplay. As part of BTS’ “second chapter,” a time for the group to explore solo activities alongside their work as a septet, Jin is following bandmate j-hope as the next member to release music on his own. BTS are no strangers to solo tracks, often incorporating them into their albums, and “The Astronaut” arrives as the latest song from Jin to explore themes of connection, the cosmos, and his love for fans (ARMY), following the tone set in songs like “Moon,” “Abyss,” and “Epiphany.” The concept photos for “The Astronaut” rolled out with three versions, titled Outlander, Lunar Eclipse, and Land on Earth, showing three different sides of BTS’ eldest member. “I Drink Wine” was the first music video Adele shot for 30, and now, almost a year after the album’s release, the visual for the track has finally arrived. Check it out below. The visuals show Adele floating on an inner tube down a meandering river, a glass of wine in one hand and an eye on her memories as they’re reenacted along the riverbank. Along the way she’s joined by synchronized swimmers and tempted by handsome shirtless men and sobriety. Check it out below. Released last November, 30 broke sales records and helped CD sales reach a near two-decade high.
