Death From Above 1979 have shared a cover of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” as part of the Amazon Original covers series. The duo make the classic rock anthem their own, adapting it to their trademark drum-bass format and injecting their signature dance-punk sound. Thoughtcrimes have unveiled the new song “Misery’s a Muse” via an animated music video. The band has also announced a reissue of 2019’s Tap Night EP, due out October 8th. The group features former Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Billy Rymer alongside singer Rick Pepa, guitarists Russ Savarese and Brian Sullivan, and bassist Cody Hosz. So far, the band only has the Tap Night EP to its name, but the upcoming reissue expands the tracklist with the addition of two previously unreleased songs — “Misery’s a Muse” being one of them. Dave Grohl’s Former Band Scream Launch Kickstarter for New Album
Dave Grohl’s former band Scream have announced a Kickstarter campaign for a new album, titled DC Special. It marks their sixth album to date, but first since 1993. The Washington, DC hardcore vets are returning to the city’s famed Inner Ear Studio to record the album. The studio was the epicenter of the DC hardcore sound, with bands such as Minor Threat, Bad Brains, and Fugazi recording albums there over the years. Sadly, the studio is set to close at the end of September. But Scream will rip out one last LP with founder Don Zientara behind the boards. Underoath Announce 2022 Tour with Every Time I Die and Spiritbox
Underoath are gearing up to take center stage in 2022, as the band has announced a North American tour featuring Every Time I Die and Spiritbox. Thrice to Embark on Fall 2021 US Tour with Touché Amoré
Thrice have announced a fall 2021 US headlining tour with fellow post-hardcore luminaries Touché Amoré. Self Defense Family will also provide support for the outing, which begins September 24th in Houston at the Warehouse. The tour moves across the South and up through the East Coast, then across the Midwest to the West Coast. The final date is October 30th at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California.
