Grey Daze Announce New Album Featuring Chester Bennington’s Vocals, Share “Saturation (Strange Love)”: Stream

Grey Daze, the Phoenix-based band that was fronted by the late Chester Bennington prior to his career in Linkin Park, has announced the newly recorded album The Phoenix, arriving June 17th. The new LP follows 2020’s Amends, another album that featured Bennington’s vocals. Like Amends — with the blessing of Chester’s family — the original members of Grey Daze re-recorded the band’s old material from the ’90s while incorporating Chester’s vocal tracks. The new album also features contributions from Dave Navarro, Richard Patrick, and Bennington’s daughters, Lily and Lila Bennington. Grammys 2021: Toots and the Maytals Win Best Reggae Album for Got to Be Tough

Toots Hibbert posthumously won the 2021 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album for his final record with Toots and the Maytals, Got to Be Tough. Hibbert died in September at the age of 77 due to complications caused by COVID-19. Got to Be Tough was the band’s first LP since 2010’s Flip and Twist. In claiming Best Reggae Album, it beat out releases like One World by The Wailers, It All Comes Back to Love by Maxi Priest, Higher Place by Skip Marley, and Upside Down 2020 by Buju Banton. Ennio Morricone’s First Posthumous Album Announced

Ennio Morricone died this past summer at the age of 91. Now, less than four months later, his first posthumous album is being prepped for release. Titled Morricone Segreto, it’s a 27-song compilation collecting rarities, alternate takes, and seven never-before-heard songs from the legendary composer. Secretly Canadian has announced Eight Gates, a new posthumous album from Jason Molina. Due for release on August 7th, it’s believed to the final collection of solo material the lo-fi songwriter recorded before his death in 2013. The upcoming effort was recorded in 2008 while Molina was residing in London. According to a statement, the musician said he penned the album’s nine songs as he recovered from a “debilitating” spider bite. “I was in the hospital here in London,” the Songs: Ohia mastermind noted in a letter. “Saw six doctors and a Dr. House-type guy.
