Fleet Foxes have announced a special virtual holiday concert. Titled “A Very Lonely Solstice Livestream”, it will see frontman and principal songwriter Robin Pecknold perform a solo acoustic set live from St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn, New York. “A Very Lonely Solstice” comes in support of Fleet Foxes’ Shore, which Consequence of Sound just named as one of the Top 50 Albums of 2020. It’s set to take place on Noonchorus on the Winter Solstice, December 21st at 9 p.m. ET; it’s a rather poetic date considering Shore was surprise-released on the Autumnal Equinox, September 22nd at 9:30 a.m. ET. The upcoming livestream will no doubt feature standout offerings from the acclaimed Shore. Also promised is a guest appearance from the Resistance Revival Chorus, an ensemb...

The virtual reunion is set to be more than just a quick hit of nostalgia for fans of the 2004 cult classic, though. It will also serve as a fundraiser for The Hunger Project, which works to end hunger across the globe. Editors’ Picks “Cyber Dynamite” offic...

This Friday, November 13th, will mark five years since the tragic Bataclan terrorist attack in Paris. A total of 89 people were killed during the concert headlined by Eagles of Death Metal. In remembrance of that fateful evening, Queens of the Stone Age will livestream previously unseen concert footage, and all proceeds will benefit those impacted by the attack. Frontman Josh Homme made the announcement on Twitter on Monday. Homme is a member of Eagles of Death Metal, but didn’t perform at the 2015 Bataclan concert. Even so, he clearly hasn’t forgotten the gravity of what transpired that night. QOTSA have chosen to livestream an acoustic gig that took place at Tasmania’s MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) in September 2018. The 11-song setlist included “Go with the Flow”, “I Never Came”, and...
Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish (photos by Ben Kaye); Harry Styles (photo by Tim Walker) The ongoing pandemic has forced music festivals to either take a furlough year or go virtual in 2020, and that includes iHeartRadio’s annual Jingle Ball. Presented by Capital One, this year’s concert will look unlike any of the multi-city touring concert’s past, but the newly announced lineup is no less packed. Topping the 2020 Jingle Ball bill are Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Harry Styles. Other expected performers include Sam Smith, Shawn Mendes, Doja Cat, Lewis Capaldi, and more. In addition to performing their own hits and holiday classics, the artists will be welcoming fans into their homes. Between sets, the event will see the acts giving “a special look at how they celebrate the holidays,” according ...
There’s a rising star in leftist politics, and we don’t mean the California senator or the representative from the Bronx. No, it’s the talent booker for the Wisconsin Democratic Party, who has already put together cast reunions for Veep, Happy Days, The Princess Bride, and Parks and Recreation. Now, the donkeys in the Dairy State have announced a Halloween night livestream featuring music and actors from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Based on the 1973 musical The Rocky Horror Show, the RHPS film arrived in 1975 as an instant cult-classic. The gender-bending comedy took on new life after theaters in Los Angeles and San Francisco arranged midnight screenings with so-called “shadow casts” — groups of live performers who acted out the movie and encouraged audience participation. Wit...
