Source: Kevin Winter / Getty Naomi Campbell’s career as a trailblazing fashion icon has been well documented and revered, but her politics, however, has met its fair share of criticism for being unconventional at times. Remember the Gucci blackface sweater fiasco? Yeah. Well, that’s not the case these days. On her latest cover story for Vogue’s November 2020 issue, the multihyphenated activist drew a clear line in the sand on her views about the oppressive state of society when it comes to race matters. Fundamentally, she reclassified what type of affliction people of color have experienced. “I never used to say the word racism; I just used to say, it’s territorialism,” she said. “I never wanted people to say that I used that as an excuse, that I was throwing that word ou...
Source: Pacific Press / Getty Why these news networks continue to interview these people we never know, but as long they continue to waste time in doing so, they need to continue to hold them accountable on-air. Wednesday (Sept.30) on CNN, T.W. Shannon, the co-chair for Black Voices for Trump (yes, this really exists), made a complete fool out of himself on national television. Anchor Brianna Keilar tried her best to get an answer out of the Trump bootlicking coon when she asked him why Donald Trump “did not condemn white supremacists” and basically weaponized the Proud Boys during his disastrous “debate” performance with Joe Biden on Monday. Like every Trump stumper, Shannon responded with a lie claiming that agent orange said he would condemn white supremacy “three times,” Kielar r...
Source: SOPA Images / Getty Uncle Ben’s is finally getting a much-needed makeover, marking the move as one of the first steps towards racial inclusivity within the company’s business strategy. According to an announcement on its website, Mars Food will drop “Uncle” from the brand’s name for the new Ben’s Original logo, along with removing the caricature of the fictitious trusting gray-haired Black servant smiling on the box. Customers will see the new packaging will hit shelves as soon as early 2021. Apparently, the company received feedback from thousands of customers and associates over the course of several weeks to ditch the racist imagery (think: Aunt Jemima) from the rice brand. “We understand the inequities that were associated with the name and face of the previou...
Source: SOPA Images / Getty Last week the social media was aghast when video surfaced of a white woman hurling a glass bottle at a Black woman jogging and using a racist for no reason other than jogging while Black. Needless to say the video sparked outrage and disgust and luckily for everyone the racist hooligan has been taken off the streets as CNN is reporting NYPD booked 53-year-old Lorena Delaguna for the hate crime she committed on last month in Queens, New York. Yesterday (September 22), Delaguna appeared in court to face charges of attempted assault in the second degree as a hate crime and aggravated harassment in the second degree. The incident occurred this past August 17th in Woodside Queens when is accused of chasing an African-American woman who was out for a jog for at least ...
Source: Anadolu Agency / Getty At this point we have to conclude that if you’re still supporting Donald Trump’s re-election campaign it’s probably because you support his racism, xenophobia and overall agenda of living in an Amerikkka under the rule of white supremacy. Regardless of how many times Trump and his supporters deny being racists, his words and their actions continue to echo that of 1940’s Klansmen looking to scare the bejesus out of people of color and anyone supporting equality. Over the weekend while Trump supporting protestors tried to intimidate early voters in Fairfax, Virginia, a convoy of Trump supporting hooligans rolled through the streets of Elon in North Carolina to support the Racist-In-Chief’s re-election campaign and yelled out the basis of their support: white po...
Warning: This editorial discusses scenes depicting rape and sexual assault. HBO’s Lovecraft Country has been a wild ride so far. In just four episodes, we’ve seen haunted houses, vampiric monsters, and mysterious cults, along with the real world horrors of Jim Crow laws and white supremacy. The series’ fifth episode — this past Sunday’s “Strange Case” — manages to top all of that with one of the most disturbing scenes in recent memory. In a twist on Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Ruby (Wunmi Mosaku), a Black woman takes a potion and wakes up in a white body. At first, she’s shocked and horrified, but begins to see the value in this new “currency” of whiteness. The potion eventually wears off, causing Ruby to violently shed her new skin in bloo...

Source: Al Pereira / Getty There is a deep-seated, racist sickness in America that rears its ugly head far too often. In the latest example, ex-NFL star Brandon Marshall had the cops called on him by security that was refusing to let him move into his own new home. Think about how outrageous that sounds, but it’s absolutely true. We know because Marshall shared footage of the incident on his Instagram. “This is the problem,” an irate Marshall can be heard, reading security the riot act. “I come here, you feel uncomfortable, my first day moving into my new house, because my name’s not on the list you call the cops.” Marshall also noted that he had two kids in the car, and that other Black people lived in the area in…wait for it…Florida. Regardless, calling the cops was wholly unnecessary. T...
Source: Cindy Ord / Getty NFL legend Brian Urlacher doesn’t care about Black people. That’s the only way to explain a headass message the former Chicago Bears linebacker posted on Instagram where he expressed disdain for NBA players having the nerve to go on strike in order to protest racial injustice. It was nice of Brian Urlacher to let every black teammate he ever played with know their lives aren’t worth shit. Also, FYI, the knife was found after he’d been shot. The cops who shot him didn’t know about, or see, it. Also, cops are supposed to arrest, not kill, people. pic.twitter.com/W3SoQuGkzq — Bill McCormick (@BillMcSciFi) August 27, 2020 On Instagram, Urlacher invoked spectacular yet tragic on-field performance from Brett Favre, as evidence that Black basketball pla...
