Kanye West stormed off the field of his son’s soccer game over the weekend after getting into an argument with a woman. According to TMZ, the woman Ye argued with was a Kardashian-West family friend, though it’s unclear what caused the disagreement. Kim Kardashian was also at the game, but she was surrounded by security and didn’t appear to interact with West at the event. A witness told the publication that West came back to the game a few minutes later after cooling off, and the rest of the match continued without incident. Watch a clip of the altercation below. West has been a constant media fixture in recent months as he continues to espouse antisemitic beliefs — and lose a ton of money and brand deals as a consequence. As he falls from grace, the rapper has been the subject of a mocki...
She’s got a princess face, a killer body, samurai mind. Nicki Minaj showed off her Disney princess fantasy in a new social media post on Monday (Oct. 31). For Halloween, the rapper decided to dress up as a high-fashion Cinderella… or Chunderella, according to her fairy tale rewrite of a caption. “And as she heard the whispers…Chunderella snickered,” she wrote. “The ugly/evil step sisters had EVERY RIGHT to bicker (through their blisters!) After all, deep down inside…they knew…they’d never fit the glass slippers… The END.” In the slideshow, Minaj poses in a blond wig, tiara and an architectural take on Cinderella’s classic blue gown. However, the Harajuku Barbie proved once she turned around that her version of the princess is quite the “Super Freaky Girl,” complete with two rather NSFW cut...
Kanye West is facing a $250 million dollar lawsuit from the family of George Floyd after spreading the false conspiracy theory that Floyd died from fentanyl, and not from the actions of arresting Minneapolis police officers. In an impromptu press conference with paparazzi on Friday night, West attempted to apologize for his recent comments about Floyd and his death. “When I see that video as a Black person, it hurts my feelings,” West said. “And I know that police do attack [sic] and that America is generally racist. And I understand that when we got to say Black Lives Matter, the idea of it made us feel good together as a people. Now, afterwards there was some things where the money went in order to push us to the Democratic vote.” “So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt ...
Busta Rhymes has linked up with the legendary Big Daddy Kane and Buffalo spitter Conway the Machine for his new single, “Slap.” Produced by Queensbridge icon Marley Marl, “Slap” feels like an old school freestyle session as each rapper demands respect for their accomplishments. After shouting out the late Biz Markie and PnB Rock, Busta pops off with a fiery verse announcing his return. Conway the Machine picks up the mic with a verse boasting about his impact with lines like, “Hall of Fame and we’re just analyzin’ my old stats/ Glidin’ on those tracks, my catalog in its entirety all slap,” before Big Daddy Kane shuts down the track. Decades after helping to define the sound of hip-hop, the New York MC shares some wisdom for up-and-comers while proving he still has something left in th...
Rap Song of the Week breaks down all the hip-hop tracks you need to hear every Friday. Check out the full playlist here. This week, Ice Spice follows her viral hit “Munch (Feelin U)” with “Bikini Bottom.” This summer, Bronx rapper Ice Spice turned New York drill (and TikTok) on its head with her viral hit, “Munch (Feelin U),” a playful track featuring the incredibly catchy hook, “You thought I was feeling you?/ That n***a a munch.” At the surface, she seemed to be rapping about using a guy for sex, but “munch” eventually became a catch-all term for someone who’s corny or a loser. Unsurprisingly, Drake (who would probably admit he’s a munch) gave Ice Spice a co-sign, and so did Cardi B. After that, the 22-year-old rapper showed she could hang on fellow Bronx breakout B-Lovee’s pos...
Kanye West has an “obsession” with Adolf Hitler and once considered naming his 2018 album after the Nazi leader. The revelation comes from a new CNN report, which cites a former business executive who worked for West as well as several other unnamed sources. The executive, who left his position and reached a settlement with West over the rapper’s workplace behavior, told CNN that West “would praise Hitler by saying how incredible it was that he was able to accumulate so much power and would talk about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people.” West also spoke openly about reading Mein Kampf — even though he claims to have never read any book — and expressed his “admiration” for Hitler and the Nazis and for their use of propaganda, the executive added. Kanye West was reportedly escorted out of Skechers’ corporate headquarters in Manhattan Beach on Wednesday after making an unannounced visit with a camera crew. In a statement to TMZ, a Skechers spokesperson said West “arrived unannounced and without invitation at one of Skechers’ corporate offices in Los Angeles. Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation.” It’s not entirely clear what West was hoping to achieve with his visit, but logic would suggest he sought to meet with executives about a potential partnership between Skechers and his Yeezy clothing and sneaker brand. Earlier this week, both adidas and Gap ended their respective relationships with West in light of the rapper’s rece...
Rap Song of the Week breaks down all the hip-hop tracks you need to hear every Friday. Check out the full playlist here. This week, Lil Uzi Vert hops on a Jersey club beat with “Just Wanna Rock.” Lil Uzi Vert takes pride in acknowledging their roots in North Philadephia’s Francisville neighborhood. With Jersey club recently breaking out from its origins in Newark — just an hour or two away from where the rapper, who uses they/them pronouns, was born and raised — it was inevitable that the always-experimental artist would dip a toe into the genre. The result is “Just Wanna Rock,” an uptempo dance track with gothic keys that Uzi Vert dropped after it went viral on TikTok. Co-produced by MCVertt, a frequent collaborator with Jersey drill pioneer Bandmanrill, and Synthetic, who is kn...

However, the rapper didn’t hesitate to show off her anniversary date night with Pardi on her Instagram Stories. Whatchu doin’, whatchu doin’? Why they always tryin’ to show the plate but never the date? What’s wrong with them? They crazy!” Next she puts Pardi’s skills as a former teacher to the test as she ...
N.O.R.E. spoke out Monday (Oct. 17) about the wave of backlash he’s faced over having Kanye West as a guest on his Revolt TV show Drink Champs. Speaking to Hot 97’s Pete Rosenberg and Laura Stylez, the rapper explained, “Well the logic was the same way you guys are giving me the platform. I think you guys have love for me, you guys have respect for me, and you guys think that I should have a say. I have a relationship with Ye. When he was going through a lot of the things he was going through, he would call me and he would actually listen to me and take my advice. So I felt I could control the situation. I felt that I could control the interview, and learned early on that I didn’t.” N.O.R.E. went on to add that “as a Black man, I feel like I failed,” but justified his thought process that ...
The family of George Floyd is considering a defamation lawsuit against Kanye West over comments he made on the Drink Champs podcast. “While one cannot defame the dead, the family of #GeorgeFloyd is considering suit for Kanye’s false statements about the manner of his death,” Lee Merritt, a lawyer for Floyd’s family, said in a statement posted to social media on Sunday. During the podcast, West asserted the false claim that Floyd died from fentanyl. “I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out… They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that,” West said.
