For the last decade, the world of rap has lived, learned and been liberated while under the influence of Young Thug. His contorted cadence, visionary fash...

Marilyn Manson Court Docs Claim Assault Allegations are ‘Coordinated Attack’

Esmé Bianco’s harrowing accusations of sexual assault and abuse at the hands of Marilyn Manson are “untrue, meritless,” and part of a “coordinated attack by multiple plaintiffs,” the goth-rocker claims in a new court filing. Earlier this year, Bianco, a star from the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, stepped forward to join others who’ve accused the musician of years-long abusive behavior. In the lawsuit filed in federal court in Los Angeles, Bianco claimed that Manson violated human trafficking law by bringing her to California from England under the false pretenses of roles in music videos and movies that never materialized. According to Bianco’s suit, Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, deprived her of food and sleep, plied her with alcohol and drugs, locked her in a bedroo...

Eddie Vedder’s Daughter Soundtracks Trailer for Sean Penn Movie Flag Day: Watch

Flag Day, a new drama film directed by Sean Penn, just got its first trailer and it features an unexpected music cameo. Singing atop the clip is Olivia Vedder, the daughter of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, with a song called “My Father’s Daughter.” Check it out below. Written by Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder, “My Father’s Daughter” is a moving number about watching yourself grow into your parents’ traits, whether you wanted to or not. Luckily for Olivia Vedder, that includes being gifted a natural music talent from her dad which she displays in full force on the track. Over slow drumming and stripped-down guitar work, she goes right for the heart strings while violins mellow out the gentle song. Flag Day stars Sean Penn and his daughter Dylan Penn alongside Josh Brolin, Norbert Leo Butz...

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Gary Rossington Expects a ‘Full Recovery’ After Emergency Heart Surgery

“After this past year, the country being shut down and everything we have all been thru, The Rossington’s encouraged the band to go perform in his absence,” Lynyrd Skynyrd continued on Facebook. “Music is a powerful healer! We all felt playing the shows and bringing the music to y’all was a better option than cancelling the performances.” The band currently has tour dates scheduled through late November. “We wish Gary a speedy recovery and we will see the Skynyrd Nation very soon! Please do us a favor and say some prayers for the Rossington family and if you would like to leave him a (positive) message please do! He will look forward to reading them!” Lynyrd Skynyrd wrote. As Phair shared, Cat Power is joining the lineup for the U.S. leg of the trek, which kicks off on Aug. 12 in Austin and runs through early October. Morissette is celebrating the delayed 25th anniversary of 1995’s Jagged Little Pill. The tour was originally scheduled for summer 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic. “When she asked me [to do this tour], it was at a difficult point for me, where I was trying to come back as an artist, and the industry powers that be are like, ‘You’ve already done your thing, we’re focusing on younger artists we can build and then reap the rewards for a long time,'” Phair, who released the album Soberish this year, told Billboard in May. “I found it really hard, harder than I exp...

Hope to see you all soon!” The “Why Can’t I?” singer has yet to give any indication to what prompted her dropping out of the tour, which kicks off in Austin this August after being delayed...

Beck Goes Undercover As Young Paul McCartney in Trippy Deepfake ‘Find My Way’ Video

Beck goes undercover as a de-aged Paul McCartney in the mind-bending video for “Find My Way,” which employs controversial deepfake technology to swap the 51-year-old American alt legend into the body of the 79-year-old Beatle. The song from Macca’s remix album, McCartney III Imagined, comes to life thanks to director Andrew Donoho’s inventive visual, which uses technology from Hyperreal Digital, a company that specializes in creating hyper-real digital avatars. In the visual for the funk-tinged remake of the song from the McCartney III album, FauxCartney takes a number of trips down the same stripe-y hotel hallway, dancing, popping and locking his way through the space as it gets overgrown with greenery. “The technology to de-age talent and have them perf...

My First Show Back: Jxdn Makes His Live Debut at the Roxy

When COVID first happened, I got kinda robbed – along with a lot of other artists who were just starting – of the joys of just experiencing everything in person. I got to make the music and do all the liners and the videos and do the work, but I didn’t get to have the performances, which is like the joy out of everything. But I think that it gave me an advantage, ultimately — just because I had a lot of time to grow and figure out who I was as a person. If I would’ve started performing at the beginning, it would’ve been good, but it wouldn’t have been as good as it is now. I really found security in who I am as a person, and as an artist, and that translates when you perform. I just got the first gold record of my entire career, like a month ago, for “Angels and Demons.” And I have a...
