Alex Lifeson Shoots Down Rush Reunion: “There’s No Way Rush Will Ever Exist Again”

Alex Lifeson stopped by SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk” earlier this week and made it clear a Rush reunion won’t be happening any time soon (via Blabbermouth). “I know Rush fans are a unique bunch, and I love them,” the rocker said after revealing he and Geddy Lee remain the best of pals. “It was a really good two-way relationship. But I think, really, Rush ended in 2015. There’s no way Rush will ever exist again because Neil’s not here to be a part of it. And that’s not to say that we can’t do other things and we can’t do things that benefit our communities and all of that. I have lots of plans for that sort of thing that don’t necessarily include Geddy.” Lifeson was referencing the passing of Rush drummer Neil Peart, who died in January 2020 at the age of 67 following a battle...

Her sudden passing has shaken me in ways that I still am unable to express. I was with her and my brother when she passed, and it was the first time in my life that I had witnessed death in...

Ashley Morgan Smithline Felt Her ‘Life Was Definitely in Danger’ With Marilyn Manson

The statement, which was provided to both The View and to Rolling Stone, Warner’s rep “strongly” denied Smithline’s claims. “There are so many falsehoods within her claims that we wouldn’t know where to begin to answer them,” the statement continued. “This relationship, to the limited extent it was a relationship, lasted less than a week in 2010. Manson hasn’t seen Ms. Smithline since then.” Ellwanger also responded to the statement, telling The View hosts, “It’s one thing to issue a statement to the media and it’s another thing to respond to a lawsuit. And we’ll look forward to seeing what the evidence shows in this case, and the evidence will back up the claims made in the complaint.” Earlier in the interview, Smithline told the co-hosts that Manson’s abuse, which she says involved rape ...

Anthony Baffoe has left his post as Confederation of African Football (CAF) Deputy General Secretary after almost four years at the helm. The former Ghana international, who was appointed in 2017, has been in charge of Football and Development at CAF. Baffoe said: “This was a decision I took three months ago due to personal reasons. 20 Years Ago, The White Stripes’ White Blood Cells Got Our Garage Rock Hearts Beating

By the turn of the 21st century, The White Stripes had two respected and relatively popular albums under their belt: 1999’s The White Stripes and 2000’s De Stijl. Recorded at Jack White’s home studio, the collections did a fine job establishing the pair’s blues/garage rock revivalist formula, steadfast DIY outlook, and signature visual aesthetic of red, white, and black color combinations. Yet, they were only just starting to gain major industry and mainstream attention as they toured De Stijl, so it was clear that if they played their cards right, their next record would finally catapult them into being international superstars. Luckily, that’s exactly what White Blood Cells did. Released on July 3rd, 2001, the LP (their last on indie label Sympathy for the Record Industry) found them fur...

Luke Hemmings Starts Solo Career With ‘Starting Line’: Stream It Now

“Starting Line” discusses “missing various memories,” Hemmings explains in a statement. “You’re reflecting on your youth and all of the madness and craziness. It’s like you’re forgetting so many pieces of your life—not from vices or anything—but from the sheer volume. I had to figure out how to fill a lot of gaps for myself in a positive way. It’s the human condition to change everything up after so long.” The new release is lifted from Hemmings’ solo debut LP When Facing the Things We Turn Away From, due out Aug. 13. Hemmings and his 5SOS bandmates have climbed to the very top on multiple occasions. The band has landed three No. 1s on the Billboard 200 albums chart, a first for an Australian act to do so. Their hit “Youngblood” cracked the top 10 of the Hot 100 char...

We jammed loads of songs together and had a lot of fun improvising drum beats.” They also played Arctic Monkeys songs, which begs a question: if you play a band’s songs with members of the band, is it still a cover, or is it more of an audition? Asking for Alex Turner. The new performance of “I Bet You Look Good on the Dan...
