Rolling Stones Postpone Second Show Following Mick Jagger’s COVID-19 Diagnosis
The Rolling Stones will scrap another European tour date as frontman Mick Jagger recovers from COVID-19 symptoms. The Stones will postpone their scheduled concert this Friday night (June 17) at Wankdorf Stadium in the Swiss capital Bern, a statement reads. The legendary rock band is “deeply sorry for this postponement, but the safety of the audience, fellow musicians and the touring crew has to take priority,” continues the message, issued Tuesday (June 14). Jagger and Co. are expected to be fit for a return to the stage next Tuesday (June 21) when the Stones stop by San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy, and the Switzerland date will be rescheduled at a later time. The Killers Halt UK Concert to Check on Elderly Crowdsurfer: Watch
The Killers played a concert in Manchester, UK on Saturday night, but paused the show when an elderly fan started crowdsurfing. Via NME, frontman Brandon Flowers noticed the man being carried over the barrier at the venue Emirates Old Trafford during the band’s set and wanted to make sure he was OK. Despite appearing to be bleeding from the head, the man, named Billy, was all smiles as Flowers ran down to throw his arms around him and offer a hug. “Billy was trying to crowdsurf, he looks like he’s about 68 or 69 years old,” the singer told the crowd once he was back on stage. “I said, ‘Billy, what are you doin’?’ And you know what he said? Mad Cool Festival Finalizes 2022 Lineup
In a less than a month, Mad Cool Festival will return to Madrid for five action-packed days of live music. Today, organizers finalized the festival’s 2022 lineup with one last round of artist additions. Alongside international acts like Incubus and Mother Mother, two heralded Ukrainian musicians — Alina Pash and Alyona Alyona — have joined the bill. Jack Black and Kyle Gass have released “Tenacious D’s The Who Medley,” a new mashup of Who classics that will benefit Everytown for Gun Safety. “Tenacious D’s The Who Medley” combines The Who’s “Pinball Wizard,” “There’s A Doctor,” and “Go To The Mirror!” into a unique single of its own. In addition to hitting streaming platforms, the medley will be pressed on a 7-inch vinyl — the proceeds of which will go to the gun violence prevention organization. Jack White dropped his newest single, “If I Die Tomorrow” on Wednesday (June 8), along with a chilling music video. In the accompanying Brantley Gutierrez-directed clip, White pulls a coffin through a snowy landscape, passing by angels, among other imagery of death and the afterlife. “If I die tomorrow / Will you let me know I left in peace? / I begged and I borrowed / Everybody’s love and they gave for free,” he sings. Def Leppard reaches No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Hard Rock Albums chart for a fourth time with its new set Diamond Star Halos, which opens atop the survey dated June 11. In the May 27-June 2 tracking week, Halos earned 34,000 equivalent album units, according to Luminate. Of that sum, 32,000 units are via album sales.
