Jack White is gearing up to release two new albums in the coming months: a “really hard” rock record called Fear of the Dawn and a “very mellow” acoustic LP titled Entering Heaven Alive. Today, he’s shared the first track from the latter album with “Love Is Selfish.” Take a listen to the tender ballad below. Fear of the Dawn — which White previewed with the ferocious rocker “Taking Me Back” — arrives first on April 8th. Entering Heaven Alive follows on July 22nd. Nevermind baby Spencer Elden has refiled his lawsuit against Nirvana, weeks after a judge dismissed his initial complaint. Elden, who was famously photographed as a baby on the cover to 1991’s Nevermind, first filed a lawsuit in August 2021 against the band’s surviving members, Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love, and Nirvana associates. Elden, who is now 30, alleged that the image of his four-month-old self underwater with exposed genitals was child pornography, and said that by distributing it worldwide Nirvana had engaged in a “sex trafficking venture.” Nirvana’s surviving members, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, as well Love, filed a motion to dismiss Elden’s lawsuit on December 22nd. Two-time ARIA Hall of Fame-inducted singer Daryl Braithwaite is recovering after testing positive for COVID-19. The former Sherbet frontman has postponed a string of upcoming Australian shows as a result of his diagnosis. “This morning I was notified that I had Covid-19,” he writes in a message posted Tuesday (Jan. 11). The 73-year-old artist says members of his band also tested positive, though he didn’t name them. Braithwaite has numerous dates booked for his Fabulous Caprettos tour of Australia’s east coast, which is scheduled to wrap up March 6, 2022 with a one-off show at Hobart’s Botanical Gardens. His January 11th and 12th shows in Asheville, North Carolina have been cancelled, while upcoming concerts in Louisville, Kentucky, Columbus, Ohio, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and Wilmington, North Carolina will be postponed.
