HipHopWired Featured Video Source: MEGA / Getty Former (alleged) Black couple goals Saweetie and Quavo continue to swap insults at each other weeks after their split hit the internet. The 27-year-old rap star shed light on the infidelity accusations in the Kendra Jae assisted track titled “See Saw,” per MadameNoire. The song is featured on her seven-track EP titled Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1, released last Friday. In the first couple of bars, Saweetie calls out the Migos rapper for being a terrible boyfriend and directly claps back at Quavo’s tweet expressing “disappointment” that his former Icy girl spoke publicly about their very private breakup. Had me going in, up-down like my scraper (Yeah) Feelin’ dangerous, I thought you was my anchor (Mhm) But you ain’t s***...
HipHopWired Featured Video Source: MEGA / Getty Both Saweetie and Quavo have addressed the now-infamous footage of them getting into a physical altercation near and on an elevator last year. The former says they moved on after the incident and it had no bearing on their relationship’s failure while the latter asserts he was never physically abusive. The video in question showed the now ex-couple essentially battling over what seemed like a Call Of Duty-branded video game system. The 90-second clip led to debate on Twitter over whether or not Saweetie was seen hurling fists at Quavo while the rapper allegedly flung her into the elevator, which caused a visible limp when she eventually walked out. What was seen was enough to reportedly cause LAPD to investigate. Saweetie was the first of tho...

This morning (April 1), Warner Chappell, the publishing side of Warner Music, announced that it would be extending the Sacramento rapper’s contract after the runaway success of songs like “Back to the Streets” featuring Jhene Aiko, “Tap In” and “My Type.” The aforementioned “My Type” has gone two times platinum since its release. “We’ve been lucky enough to be on this incredible journey with Saweetie since the very beginning,” said Warner Chappell Music President of A&R, U.S., Ryan Press, via a statement. “We’re in the business of taking early bets on artists and help...

His boo, Saweetie, announced on Instagram on Monday (Nov.30) that she is an Official Xbox Partner and revealed to her fans that she has an Xbox Series X console for one lucky fan. Now, this particular Xbox Series X is special because it’s customized. The “Tap In” rapper shared as much in a dope video featuring herself as a video game character playing on the unique console that features Icy written on it and an iced out controller. In her Instagram post announcing the contest, she wrote in the caption: “Who wants my Icy Xbox Series X console and Controller 😛 Tag your friends in the comme...
