Seven Lions Reimagines His Classics With 90s-Style Trance EP

Seven Lions dropped a six-track EP, Seven Lions: 1999 EP, harkening back to the 90s rave scene with new spins on some of his biggest classics. The total package includes four reimagined trance remixes and two extended editions. Fans received a first glimpse of the producer’s approach to these remixes last week, with the release of his nostalgic “Rush Over Me” remix. Seven Lions turns up the danceability on the classic melodic dubstep original, retrofitting it with pumping trance drums and vintage synth patches. The formula follows a similar suit with his new “Days To Come” and “Worlds Apart” remixes as dancing melodic arpeggios underpin shining vocals from both Fiora and Kerli respectively. Closing things out with “Higher Love,̶...

Seven Lions Delivers Nostalgic Trance Remix of “Rush Over Me” With HALIENE

Earlier this week, Seven Lions announced that he would be releasing a four-track remix package filled with old school reimaginations of his greatest hits. The first remix has arrived, as his heavyweight collaboration with ILLENIUM, Said The Sky, and HALIENE has been transformed into a vintage trance tune reminiscent of the 90s.  Seven Lions’ “1999” remix begins with a rolling bassline that’ll bring listeners right back to those classic warehouse raves. The fluttering chords and dreamy soundscapes serve to build the nostalgic feeling even further, all the while breathing new life into HALIENE’s unmistakable vocal on a completely restructured track.  Seven Lions has crafted a perfect call back to 90s rave culture and fans can’t wait to dive ...

Love at First Sight: The Top 10 EDM Artist Logos

When it comes to launching a successful music career, banging tunes aren’t the only factor when it comes to success. Instead, especially in the digital age, music often must come alongside a strong visual brand built around an eye-catching and memorable logo.  This rule is especially relevant in the world of electronic music, as bold, captivating visuals and signature artwork are must-haves for any producer with a live show. Logos are emblazoned on merch, splashed across fan art and featured on album covers—and, if all goes well, permanently displayed on fans’ bodies as a tattoo. Have you ever connected with another audience member at an event over your mutual love for an artist? We’ll bet it was because one or both of you were sporting their logo.  In shor...

Seven Lions and Jason Ross Reunite, Enlist Crystal Skies for “Foolish Of Me” [Premiere]

Back in 2018, Seven Lions, Jason Ross, and vocalist Jonathan Mendelsohn joined forces for an epic single called “Ocean.” The triad has now brought Crystal Skies into the fold for another mega-collaboration. “Foolish Of Me” is the spiritual successor to “Ocean,” and a long-awaited reunion between Seven Lions and Jason Ross. The new single is set to be just as big a hit as its predecessor. Blending all the heaviness of Seven Lions’ style with lush supersaw chords that are unmistakably the sound of Ross, the duo brings an uncontainable energy to the track’s midtempo groove. With the addition of Crystal Skies’ enchanting melodies, the track is wonderfully rounded out by Mendelsohn’s haunting vocal work.  With all t...
