SNBRN Explores Creative Freedom In Emotive 19-Track Sophomore Album, “The Old Days”

SNBRN has dropped his highly anticipated sophomore album, The Old Days, out today via Ultra Records. The Old Days marks his most comprehensive project to date. Spanning just over an hour, the album spans 19 tracks that give fans a glimpse into the introspective work of the L.A.-based house music star, focusing on his authenticity, storytelling and creative freedom. It’s been over three years since 2019’s debut album, Solé, and its predecessor takes SNBRN’s songwriting and sound design to the next level. Louis The Child Announce Genre Defying “Alter-Ego” Takeover at Brooklyn Mirage

We’re tuned to expect specific sounds from our favorite artists. Go to an Excision show and you’re getting an abundance of ground-shaking bass and dubstep growls. Seeing Armin van Buuren entails a bright mix of progressive house and trance. But once in a while, major artists surprise us with stark deviations from their established sounds, like Dillon Francis trading his moombahton style for deep house or deadmau5 eschewing his signature electro flair in favor of obscure, pulsing techno under his TESTPILOT moniker. It’s rare to see an event dedicated to artists exploring their left-field tastes though—something Louis The Child hope to change with their latest event concept, “Alter-Ego,” a multi-stage takeover of the Brooklyn Mirage. “We wanted to create an event where artists ar...

It arrives perfectly packaged for the nearest dancefloor, equipped with an intoxicating, no-frills beat that can simply be defined as house music in its purest form. Out now on Ultra Records, “I Don’t Think U Do” is crisp and groovy, taking its organic four-on-the-floor beat and bolstering it with an earworm sample that’ll stay in your head long after the lights come on.  ̶...

Fresh Pressed Reintroduces Festivals to the Pacific Northwest

My eyes were fixated on the Tacoma skyline as I lay on the sharp, prickly grass below the only shaded structure in the venue. Gazing out into the horizon, a silhouette of high rises framed the lonesome stage that would be the focus of the evening.  Grappled by my surroundings, I was unaware of the impromptu game of Duck, Duck, Goose that had attendees cheering for the winner as she slid down to the ground. Nor was I aware of the spontaneous crowd that rose from the field to partake in a yoga session.  All throughout the venue, mini beehives of activity sprung up, all in high spirits, waiting for the reverberation of the speakers to pull them to the dancefloor. Over an hour later, the crowd cheered on as the music finally returned to Haub Family Field. Nora En Pure performing...

SNBRN and Dr. Fresch Team Up for G-House Banger “What You Want” With Malcolm Anthony

After almost six years since their last record together, SNBRN and Dr. Fresch have teamed up once again for their newest single “What You Want,” out via Ultra Records.  In a statement shared on social media, SNBRN detailed how he started the track with Malcolm Anthony in 2018. Two years later, at the beginning of the pandemic, he rediscovered the demo and recruited Fresch to complete it. The G-house banger is ferocious, energetic, and danceable. Potent keys, powerful horns, and a thumping bassline combine with the fierce rap stylings of Anthony for a bold result.  Fresh off his recent “Poison” collaboration with BIJOU and CeCe Rogers, SNBRN is now gearing up for festival season after Imagine Music Festival organizers recently announced him as part of the event’s&n...
