The community-centered approach to Web3 — Aave founder and CEO

Aave founder and chief executive officer Stani Kulechov said the firm was continuing to develop its decentralized social media platform, with Web3 potentially changing the way many view ownership. Speaking to Cointelegraph at the Collision conference in Toronto on Thursday, Kulechov said Web3 — a buzzword often thrown around which generally describes the next evolution of an internet based on blockchain technology — could impact how people use social media in much the same way cryptocurrency changed perceptions on finance. Twitter Now Allowing Blog Posts On Wednesday (Jun.22), Twitter officially unveiled its latest feature, “Notes.” Essentially it will bring long-form writing to the social media platform because it encourages writers to publish their freeform content without worrying about character limits. “Notes” not being restricted to the usual 280-character limit allows writers to drop blog posts that can feature photos, videos, and other tweets inside of a Note. Gordon Goner, pseudonymous co-founder of Yuga Labs, issued a warning about a possible incoming attack on their social media accounts under the Yuga Labs umbrella after receiving “credible information” that an insider from Twitter would help bypass the security of the accounts. Social media blamed for $1B in crypto scam losses in 2021

Mark Zuckerberg told shareholders on Wednesday that the metaverse project will bleed a lot of money and that some products will not be ready for 15 years. According to Business Insider, the Meta CEO told shareholders that he spent $10-billion on the idea of a virtual world in 2021 alone. “We want to get the hardware to be as affordable as possible for everyone, and make sure the digital economy grows,” Zuckerberg said. Meta currently has 10,000 employees working on the metaverse and wants to hire an additional 10,000 to work on the project.
