Ultra-endurance Athlete Robbie Balenger Raced a Tesla Model 3 … And Won

The concept of “man vs. machine” has provided many a legendary battle. World chess champion Gary Kasparov against the Deep Blue supercomputer. Jeopardy! legends Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter against the Watson supercomputer. A professional bowler against EARL, a bowling robot. However, there’s never been anything quite like a man outrunning a car — until now. Athletic apparel brand Ten Thousand recently pitted ultra-endurance athlete Robbie Balenger against Tesla’s well-known Model 3 sedan in a grueling last man (or machine) standing endurance race across the Texas deserts and planes. Charged up to 100%, the Model 3 made it 242 miles before its battery ran out. Balenger was tasked with lacing up his HOKAs and following in its tire tracks from start to finish, and given only 72 hours to surp...

The Financial Times recently reported that Yankee Global Enterprises, which is the New York team’s parent company, has partnered with Los Angeles-based investment firm Main Street Advisors to go in as minority investors in Italian football club, AC Milan. Main Street Advisors includes NBA star, LeBron James and the 6God himself, Drake. Together, both companies are reportedly closing in on a deal to purchase shares of the reigning Serie A champion league for just a little over $1.2 billion USD. Bronny admits that he had not heard about his dad’s desire to play with him in the NBA until James announced it to the public, but he did find it a cool idea. James confirms this and explains that he would like to leave it up to fate, “We don’t even really talk about the future too much. I put it in the air because I like to talk to the basketball gods out there and see if things can come to fruition. I’ve al...

5 Years Later, Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet’s “Narco” Is Climbing the Charts Thanks to a Baseball Player

Blasterjaxx and Timmy Trumpet released their collaboration “Narco” back in 2017, but it’s found new life in a strange place—the stadium of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. “Narco” can be heard on a regular basis at Citi Field in Queens thanks to Mets closer Edwin Díaz, who uses it regularly as his entrance song. And despite its release over five years ago, the track recently entered the top five on Spotify’s viral hits chart. “It’s really out of this world basically, especially since it’s a track that’s been out for five years already,” Jongkind, one-half of Blasterjaxx, told the New York Post. “Usually when you release a track… it needs like a half-year or year maximum. Now, after five years, it...

Most recently, Dangoor worked with adidas for its new Predator football boot, as well as a collaborative FIFA 22 in-game jersey with David Beckham. And while consistently working on projects with a global reach, his British roots have always come first. Dangoor is now collaborating with the NBA for the sports franchises’ Creator Series. Usain Bolt Files Trademark for Victory Pose

Usain Bolt has just filed a trademark for his signature victory pose. The pose in question was first made known to the masses during his record-breaking run at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. This placed Bolt as the world’s fastest man, and with it, came his signature pose where he stands with a wide stance, leaning back with one elbow bent while pointing to the sky. The filing description reads: “The silhouette of a man in a distinctive pose, with one arm bent and pointing to the head, and the other arm raised and pointing upward.” Filed on August 17, this logo — perhaps to be used like the iconic Jumpman silhouette or SHAQ Dunkman logo –is said to be connected to products such as jewelry, purses, shoes, and other sporting goods, but it also extends to offerings like catering and loyalty pr...
