Nate Diaz to Face Tony Ferguson in New UFC 279 Main Event

A day after the official press conference for UFC 279 was called off for the first time in history due to a skirmish backstage involving four fighters and reportedly around 100 individuals, more chaos now ensues. Last-minute switches to the main event matchups were made as one of the UFC‘s brightest prospects, Khamzat Chimaev,  missed weight by a shocking 7.5 pounds, tipping in at 178.5 pounds for the middleweight bout. This is the first time that Chimaev has missed weight in the UFC since his debut in 2020 and the nearly 10-pound weight difference, as well as his nonchalant attitude, has many in the community speculating that he may not have planned to make weight in the first place for his headliner against Nate Diaz. In lieu of the news, the UFC quickly set up whole new matchups, b...

He explained how each of his NBA Championships compared to one another, “The first one, you don’t really know what you’re doing until you accomplish it, and then you’re celebrating. Rafael Nadal’s 23rd Grand Slam Title Dream Cut Short at U.S. Open

While many had hoped for Rafael Nadal to extend his all-time Grand Slam record to 23 at the current U.S. Open especially when Novak Djokovic has been ruled out of play, the Spaniard’s fans will no doubt be disappointed that the record holder has just suffered a loss to local hero Frances Tiafoe in the fourth round. Starting the match one set down on 4-6, Nadal managed to rally back in the second set, taking 6-4 with one break. Unfortunately, the momentum shifted back to Tiafoe at this point for the rest of the match, winning the next two sets at 6-4 and 6-3. Tiafoe will now face Russia’s Andrey Rublev in the quarter-finals, with the former becoming the first American men’s player to reach the quarter-finals since John Isner’s run in 2018. “That’s part of my career,” Nadal began explaining ...
