Nike Founder Phil Knight Is Going In on a $2 Billion USD Bid for the Portland Trail Blazers

It appears that Nike founder Phil Knight is looking to make a mark with his homestate of Oregon. ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski recently reported that Knight and Los Angeles Dodgers co-owner Alan Smolinisky have put in an over $2 billion USD bid for NBA franchise, Portland Trail Blazers. Woj tweeted, “Nike founder Phil Knight and Dodgers co-owner Alan Smolinisky have made a $2 billion-plus written offer to purchase the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell ESPN.” He also notes that, “discussions are ongoing with the Paul Allen trust that’s overseeing ownership of team. Argentina put in an outstanding performance against Italy, beating them 3-0 at London’s Wembley Stadium to help them secure the 2022 Finalissima. The game was a clash between the two winners of the recent EURO 2020 and Copa America. Donda Sports, led by the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has reportedly signed its first NBA player: Jaylen Brown. According to reports, the Boston Celtics shooting guard was selected “because of his intelligence, social activism and charitable work” along with “his success on the court.” In addition, Ye also appreciated the fact that Brown is “a God-fearing man” and that “his mother emphasized the importance of education at a young age, just like Donda.” Ye and Brown have supposedly been on good terms for a while, but the deal was not made official until after the artist attended the Celtics game against the Golden State Warriors in March. FIA Extends Formula 1 Jewelry Ban Exemption to End of June

Over the weekend, the FIA announced that it has extended its jewelry ban exemption for Formula 1 to the end of June to allow time for its medical commission to discuss the best way to enforce the rule. At the beginning of the season, one of F1’s new race directors, Niels Wittich, made it clear that the wearing of jewelry is a breach of conduct and could result in a fine. Wittich pointed to the increased risk of burn injuries and the complications that jewelry may cause in the case medical imaging is needed following an accident.
