Though the Los Angeles team lost 111-104, King James picked up 12 rebounds against the team, eclipsing the 10,000-rebound mark. With the new stat, James has now become the NBA’s first-ever player to reach 30,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 9,000 assists. Having only played five games with the Golden State Warriors this season, Thompson currently averages 15.2 points, three rebounds and 2.2 assists. Organizers for the 2022 Beijing Olympics and Paralympics have announced that no tickets will be sold for the upcoming Games. Instead, organizers will invite select groups of spectators to attend the competitions on site. “Given the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators, it has been decided that tickets should not be sold anymore but be part of an adapted programme that will invite groups of spectators to be present on site during the Games. The organisers expect that these spectators will strictly abide by the COVID-19 countermeasures before, during and after each event so as to help create an absolutely safe environment for the athletes,” an announcement from International Olympic Committee read. For the first time in 24 years, Jamaica has a qualifying four-man bobsled team, and not only that, but they have also qualified for the two-man and new female-only monobob event. The 2020/2021 season World 11 was selected by 18,947 footballers from around the world who cast their votes from 69 different countries. Following the Brooklyn Nets‘ win over the New Orleans, Kevin Durant was diagnosed with a sprained MCL on his left knee, leaving him out indefinitely for at least a month. The injury occurred after a collision with his own teammate Bruce Brown in the remaining 5:38 in the second quarter. KD did not return after halftime.
