IPC condemns Femi Fani-Kayode’s assault on journalist
The International Press Centre (IPC) condemns the verbal assault inflicted on a journalist by a former Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani Kayode. The journalist, Eyo Charles, who reports for the Daily Trust Newspaper, was seen in a video posted by The Cable, an online newspaper, asking the former Minister at a press conference in Calabar, Cross Rivers State, Nigeria, if he was funded to embark on a tour of projects in the state to which he responded with verbal attacks. Poor disposal of plastic wastes worry institute
The Polymer Institute of Nigeria, PIN, has expressed worry over the poor disposal of non-degradable plastic wastes in Nigeria. The Institute’s National President, Professor Paul Mamza, who disclosed this during a courtesy call on Governor Hope Uzodinma in Owerri, also said that they are developing an environmentally friendly method for disposal of plastic wastes. “The Institute is developing an environmentally friendly method for the disposal of plastic wastes.
