Excision’s Subsidia Records Drops Bone-Shattering “Night Vol. 3” Compilation

Excision‘s Subsidia Records is on a roll, delivering back to back compilations that have blown us away. The team has returned and is ready to do it all over again with their next offering, Night Vol. 3. For the uninitiated, Subsidia has broken down their compilations into three series. There is the melodically-focused Dawn, the wonky and weird Dusk, and the unrelentingly-heavy collection, Night.  Volumes one and two of the Night series, which debuted in September and December of last year respectively, hosted a barrage of bass from the likes of YOOKIE, Kompany, JEANIE, TYNAN, and of course Excision. Vol. 3 follows this successful formula and features a combination of heavyweights such as Bear Grillz, Skellism, Monxx, Jessica Audiffred, Fel...

Taking to Twitter, the label announced Night Vol. 3 is due out in a matter of days. For those not yet familiar, Subsidia’s Night compilation series is reserved for the imprint’s heaviest bass music releases compared to their melodically-focused Dawn and underground bass-centered Dusk series. The first two volumes, released in September and December of last year respectively, did not leave fans unsatisfied as they were treated to new offerings from YOOKIE, Kompany, JEANIE, TYNAN, and many others including Excision himself.  The forthcoming...

Excision‘s Subsidia imprint is quickly becoming well-known as a space where rising dubstep artists can release new music alongside veterans of the scene. Seven hard-hitting tracks are featured, including last year’s singles “Drum Mag,” “Tinnitus” with Benda, “Lifeless,” and King’s collaboration with Excision, “Unbound.” As is to be expected, heavy metal meets relentless bass on To The Grave, like on the eruptive “Tinnitus” and the other previously released singles. That trend continues with new tracks like “War” and “Stitches with Rated R, which feature chugging, powerful guitar riffs ...

Since then, they’ve released a new volume in both the wonky and weird Dusk and the unforgivingly-heavy Night sagas. Now, echoing the calls for new beginnings brought on by the New Year, Excision and company are preparing for the release of the second chapter of the melodic bass journey that is Dawn.  As shown in the announcement above, the compilation album will feature new music from ill.Gates, Dani King, Cyrus Gold, Computa, Ahee, and a new collaboration from the man himself and...

The record’s list of artists unquestionably confirms that notion, as it features Antiserum, Dubsribe, Downlink, Jeanie, LEV3L, and Excision himself, among many others.  Check out Subsidia’s announcement below and pre-save Night Volume 2 here ahead of its December ...

Excision and SLANDER Drop Long-Awaited Collaboration, “Your Fault” With Elle Vee

The massive collaboration debuted today on Subsidia Records banner. Bass-heads have been chomping at the bit to get their hands on a mysterious Excision and SLANDER collaboration ever since it was debuted live at HiJinx Festival last year. The musicians teased a cyberpunk music video for the release earlier this week, and now the epic collaboration is finally here. “Your Fault “feat. Elle Vee)” sits perfectly between the beautiful melodic soundscapes that SLANDER are so well known for, and Excision’s relentlessly heavy bass. Soaring synth melodies perfectly complement Vee’s heart-wrenching vocal work, as subdued piano chords carry somber emotion throughout the breakdown.  Both of the track’s drops are as heavy as one would expect...
