The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) on Wednesday explained why it denies Nigerians access to the details of the assets declared by public officers. The chair person of the bureau, Muhammad Isah, also disclosed that assets declaration would soon become online-based. Mr Isah, represented by his special assistant, Mustapha Musa, spoke in Lagos at a meeting on ‘Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Asset Declaration by High-Ranking Public Officers’. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has directed all cleared contestants in the forthcoming local government elections scheduled to hold January 16 to be subjected to a compulsory drug test. The state commissioner for information, Muhammad Garba, disclosed this on Thursday while briefing journalists on the outcome of the state Executive Council Meeting held at the Government House, Kano. According to Garba, the decision was part of the government’s policies to rid Kano of illicit substance abuse. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to tackle drug abuse among political leaders. Migos’ Takeoff has been sued by a woman in Los Angeles who says that the rapper raped her at a party in Los Angeles in June. According to the lawsuit, which was obtained by SPIN and filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday (Aug. 5), the woman says that she was invited to the party, which took place in Encino on June 22, by Migos’ part-time DJ Durel (Daryl McPherson). The woman, identified as Jane Doe, said that she noticed the rapper staring at her throughout the course of the night and made “extremely uncomfortable.
