Amazon Is Teaming Up With SpaceX To Launch Its Project Kuiper Satellites

Although SpaceX is Amazon’s competition when it comes to satellite internet service, the two companies will be joining forces. The unexpected partnership arose after Amazon purchased three Falcon 9 launches from SpaceX in order to send its Project Kuiper satellites into orbit. For those unfamiliar, Project Kuiper was founded in 2019 as Amazon’s plan to launch a network of satellites globally to provide broadband internet connectivity. The company has over 3,000 satellites it's aiming to launch and per its approval terms with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), it must launch and operate at least 50% of those satellites by 2026.It seems that Amazon is attempting to amp up its efforts in order to meet that deadline, which is why it's working alongside its own competitor – SpaceX is c...

Garmin Venu 3S review: right features, wrong price

Smartwatch Reviews While the Venu 3 series ticks off a lot of the right boxes, it’s a little pricey considering the competition. But at least you’ll finally get credit for your naps. By Victoria Song, a senior reporter focusing on wearables, health tech, and more with 11 years of experience. Before coming to The Verge, she worked for Gizmodo and PC Magazine. Photography by Amelia Holowaty Krales You can expect three things from a Garmin: long battery life, durability, and more fitness data than is strictly necessary. All that is true of the $449.99 Venu 3S. But compared to the company’s beefy multisport watches this is, technically speaking, Garmin’s most smartwatch-like watch. That’s not a high bar to clear, but there’s a lot to like here. There are new heart rate sensors which support EK...
