5G to Top One Billion Subscriptions in 2022: Ericsson Reports
Ericsson, a Swedish telecommunications company, released a report predicting that there will be one billion 5G subscriptions in 2022. The forecast is contained in the latest edition of the Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) Mobility Report. The 2027 timeline also includes projections that 5G will account for: 82 percent of subscriptions in Western Europe; 80 percent in the Gulf Cooperation Council region; and 74 percent in North-East Asia. In India, where 5G deployments have yet to begin, 5G is expected to account for nearly 40 percent of all subscriptions by 2027. In global terms, 5G is forecast to account for almost half of all subscriptions by 2027, topping 4.4 billion subscriptions. Telkom Kenya is Planning a Loan Product on T-Kash

According to Techweez, the product has not been activated yet but the company has indicated on the T-Kash app that it is “coming soon.” T-Kash is a mobile payment solution owned by Telkom, a telecommunication provider with a presence in more than 38 African countries. The new product will be taking on Safaricom’s M-PESA, one of the leading mobile money services in Africa, which currently owns 99 percent of the market share in the country. Uniswap acquires NFT marketplace aggregator Genie to further ‘universal ownership’ goals
Decentralized exchange Uniswap announced the acquisition of the NFT marketplace aggregator Genie on June 21st. Uniswap said this move is part of its mission to unlock universal ownership and exchange on its platform. Uniswap is now integrating NFTs into its product line beginning with the Uniswap web app and later integrations are said to include developer APIs and widgets. This isn’t the first time Uniswap has worked with NFTs. In the spring of 2019 it launched Unisocks which offered NFT liquidity pools backed by real-world assets.
