As the quarter-finals continued Tuesday night on America’s Got Talent, the mysterious Australian singer chose a particularly dramatic crystal mask for the occasion, and delivered a powerhouse cover of “Can’t Get You Out of My Head.” Riley totally reimagined Kylie Minogue’s pop classic as an epic heartbreaker. The son of an Aussie mother and a Filipino father, Riley (real name Sheldon Hernandez) amassed a following during his run on The Voice Australia in 2018, earning a spot in the final four. ‘Masked Singer Australia’ Production Halted Following COVID Outbreak
The Masked Singer Australia has entered into lockdown mode after several crew members were diagnosed with COVID-19. The production team, which numbers 180 and includes the masked celebrities, host Osher Gunsberg and its judging panel, are now in self-isolation. With just one episode to go in the current season, production is now immediately suspended, as “the health and safety of the community, and our staff and production partners is our number one priority,” explains a statement issued Sunday. Although the members of Luna are literally all over the world, it didn’t stop the band from collaborating on a new recording. And today (Aug. 21), they released their version of “Marquee Moon,” the 1977 title track off Television’s debut album. It has now been announced that a reboot of the series will be coming to the Peacock streaming service, putting the focus squarely on Dash’s former character, Dionne. Instagram last week launched a new short-video feature called Reels — capitalizing on demand in the market amid privacy concerns surrounding TikTok and a looming ban of the ByteDance-owned app — and it’s already facing troubles of its own.
