Two legends collide as Bad Bunny has linked up with bachata band Aventura for a new song titled “Volví.” Watch the accompanying music video below. Produced by Alex Killer, “Volví” combines bachata guitar licks with reggaeton drums. The ballad features Aventura breakout star Romeo Santos trading lovelorn vocals with Bad Bunny. “Yo sé que al final,” Santos sings. “A mí no me olvidas tan siquiera un poco/ Al final, baby, tú extrañas cómo yo te toco.” In English, this translates to, “I know in the end/ You won’t forget me not even a little bit/ In the end, baby, you miss how I touch you.” Advertisement Related Video Prior to its release, Santos teased the track on Twitter by declaring it would “close out the Aventura chapter in a memorable way.” In 2019, the supergroup formally reunited after ...
Los Angeles rapper Duckwrth is back with a new single called “4K.” It’s about life during the pandemic and it features extra verses from his friend and fellow rapper Phabo. Stream it below. “Right when outside started opening up and everyone started flocking to Tulum and Hawaii… that’s what ‘4K’ is about. Trying to adjust and acclimate while still having fun,” said Duckwrth in a press release. “It’s the paradox of the recurring line, ‘Was your pandemic popping?’ ‘4K’ is a movie, and that’s what the pandemic turned into when we were let loose.” Musically, “4K” blends loopy chillwave synths with a bouncy, skittering beat that’s perfect for the final weeks of summer. Both Duckwrth and Phabo sound relaxed as they drop line after line about adjusting to a new world without sacraficing their sen...

In her place, fellow ’90s icon Cat Power will join the lineup on the Jagged Little Pill 25th anniversary tour. “Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, I won’t be able to join Alanis & Garbage on tour this summer,” the singer-songwriter wrote on Twitter. “I’m incredibly disappointed as I was looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful faces. Shoutout to Alanis, Garbage, and Cat Power, who I know will put on an incredible show. Hope to see you all soon!” The “Why Can’t I?” singer has yet to give any indication to what prompted her dropping out of the tour, which kicks off in Austin this August after being delayed...
There’s less than a month to go until The Joy Formidable release their new album Into the Blue on August 20th. To tide fans over until then, the Welsh alt-rockers have just dropped “Interval,” a gripping new single from the record, and they’ve also announced 2021 US tour dates. Whereas their last album, 2018’s AAARTH, dipped into electronic elements at times, The Joy Formidable return to their heady rock roots on this new single. “Interval” quickly grabs the reigns with a thick bassline before singer Rhiannon “Ritzy” Bryan’s vocals enter the frame. Although it sounds relatively controlled and tempered in the first half, it’s clear that “Interval” is building tension early on — and, as such, it eventually explodes in track’s final fuzz-filled minutes. Stream it below. This is the final sing...
