Genesis have rescheduled their reunion tour for 2021. Originally expected to take place in the United Kingdom and Ireland this fall, “The Last Domino? Tour” was postponed due to the ongoing health crisis. Now, Phil Collins, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford are set to play their first shows together in 14 years in April of next year. The trek launches on the 1st in Glasgow, with further multi-night stands taking place in Birmingham, New Castle, Manchester, Dublin, Leeds, Liverpool, and London. Justin Bieber has announced a 2021 tour, rescheduling many of the shows he previously called off due to the pandemic. Some industry folks don’t think live music will be back until 2022, but don’t count Bieber as a belieber believer. The pop star has revealed a tour schedule for next summer that includes previously postponed concerts as well as 19 new stops. Kicking off June 7th with a two-nighter in San Jose, the fresh shows include double-headers in Chicago, Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, as well as dates in Boston, Philadelphia, Tacoma, Newark, and Brooklyn. FUZZ are back and they’re ready to blow out your speakers. Ty Segall’s beloved garage rock trio have announced a new album as well as a lengthy tour that extends through next year. They will be touring in support of the new record, III, which is due out October 23rd via In the Red Recordings. This is the first new album FUZZ have released in five years and serves as the follow-up to their 2015 full-length II. As such, this eight-track album sees Segall on drums, Charles Moothart on guitar, and Chad Ubovich on bass performing raw, headbang-worthy songs. The Killers have finally landed on a release date for Imploding the Mirage. The new album is due out in just a little over a month on August 21st through Island Records. “COVID-19 monkey wrenched us. But we persevered. Folks, mark your calendars,” the band wrote on Instagram. Originally slated to drop in May, The Killers’ sixth full-length was put on hold “due to delays in finalizing the album.” It was recorded in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Park City, Utah, and co-produced by the group with help from Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Julian Casablancas) and Foxygen’s own Jonathan Rado. Björk is set to become one of the first major artists to stage an actual concert since the coronavirus pandemic crippled the live music industry. In August, the Icelandic songstress will play a trio of concerts from the Harpa Hall in Reykjavík featuring a live audience. The first show is scheduled for August 9th and sees Björk accompanied by the Hamrahlíð Choir. For the second and third performances, taking place on August 15th and 23rd, respectively, she’ll be joined by members of the the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra. My Chemical Romance have announced the rescheduled dates for their highly anticipated reunion tour, which will now take place in fall 2020. Originally set for this summer, MCR’s reunion was postponed after just a handful of performances due to the pandemic. Garth Brooks has announced a one-off concert event which will be simulcast at 300 drive-in movie theaters across North America on June 27th. Tickets are priced at $100 per car and go on sale beginning Friday, June 19th at 12:00 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster. New Order and Pet Shop Boys have rescheduled their co-headlining “Unity Tour” for September and October 2021. The new wave legends were supposed to tour together this fall, but they postponed those plans in light of COVID-19. They’ve now pushed back those dates by a year. The 12-date outing kicks off in September 18th in Toronto. They’ll then play shows in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and San Francisco before wrapping in mid-October with two nights in Los Angeles.
