Danny Elfman has announced a pair of Halloween 2022 performances, with career-spanning sets going down at The Hollywood Bowl Friday, October 28th and Saturday, October 29th. The concerts are titled “Danny Elfman: From Boingo to Batman to Big Mess and Beyond!” They’re set to include all the greatest moments from the 69-year-old’s career, from his early days fronting Oingo Boingo through his award-winning film scoring career and his re-emergence as a titan of popular music with 2021’s Big Mess. Alter Bridge Announce 2023 North American Tour with Mammoth WVH

Alter Bridge have announced a 2023 North American tour with Mammoth WVH. The 30-city outing is split into two legs. The first kicks off on January 25th in Tampa, Florida, and runs through February 18th in Chicago. After a brief break, the trek picks back up on March 10th in Quapaw, Oklahoma, and wraps up on April 1st in Highland, California. In addition to Mammoth WVH opening each show, Red and Pistols at Dawn will also support select dates. Low have canceled some of their August 2022 shows in Europe, citing drummer/vocalist Mimi Parker’s ongoing cancer treatment. “As some of you know, Mimi has been fighting cancer,” the husband-and-wife duo wrote on social media today (August 15th). “Recent developments and changes in treatment have made extensive travel impossible at this time. Our hope is that she will respond to new treatments and be able to play the shows we have scheduled for the fall, including the Water is Life Festival in Duluth on September 4.” The band continued: “We are very sorry for the inconvenience of ticket shuffling and travel expenses/changes. Bill Callahan has announced his new album, YTI⅃AƎЯ, which, in case you didn’t guess, is the word “reality” spelled backwards. The project will arrive on digital platforms and CD on October 14th via Drag City, with the vinyl edition releasing next year. He also unveiled a new run of California tour dates (grab your tickets here). The lo-fi artist’s main collaborators on YTI⅃AƎЯ were Matt Kinsey on guitar, Emmett Kelly on bass/backing vocals, Sarah Ann Phillips on piano/backing vocals, and Jim White on drums. The indie rock stalwarts have extended their 2022 tour, adding a leg in Europe this fall before wrapping things up late this year with a handful of shows alongside their fellow ’90s legends Guided by Voices. After some COVID-related delays, Dinosaur Jr.’s tour finally begins in just under a month, kicking off at Ithaca’s State Theater on September 9th. They’ll cover much of the Midwest and Northeast before heading off to Dublin on October 10th.
