The Get Up Kids Announce Four Minute Mile Anniversary Tour with Sparta

It’s been 25 years since The Get Up Kids released their debut album Four Minute Mile, so naturally, they’re gearing up to celebrate it with an anniversary tour. The emo veterans have announced a run of shows where they’ll play the LP (plus the 1997 EP Woodson) in its entirety. Fellow genre trailblazers Sparta will serve as the special guest. The “Four Minute Mile 25th Anniversary Tour” begins in August in Texas, where Matt Pryor and company will hit Dallas, Houston, and Austin before moving over to the West Coast. From there, the band heads east before wrapping up in Philadelphia on September 29th. Amyl and the Sniffers just wrapped up a North American tour, but they’re ready to do it all over again in Fall 2022. The Melbourne punks have announced a new run of US tour dates, which you can find in full below. Beginning September 18th at the Los Angeles edition of the Primavera Sound Festival, Amy Taylor and company’s fall trek will take them to Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Boston, and more before wrapping up October 9th at Ohana Festival’s Encore Weekend. Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood’s The Smile Announce North American Tour

The Smile, the new band from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, and Sons of Kemet dummer Tom Skinner, have announced their inaugural North American tour. The 19-date outing comes in support of the trio’s debut album, A Light for Attracting Attention. The tour kicks off in Providence, Rhode Island on November 14th, with further stops scheduled in Boston, New York, Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, Atlanta, New Orleans, and beyond, before wrapping up out west with gigs in San Francisco and Los Angeles at the end of December. The Killers Halt UK Concert to Check on Elderly Crowdsurfer: Watch

The Killers played a concert in Manchester, UK on Saturday night, but paused the show when an elderly fan started crowdsurfing. Via NME, frontman Brandon Flowers noticed the man being carried over the barrier at the venue Emirates Old Trafford during the band’s set and wanted to make sure he was OK. Despite appearing to be bleeding from the head, the man, named Billy, was all smiles as Flowers ran down to throw his arms around him and offer a hug. “Billy was trying to crowdsurf, he looks like he’s about 68 or 69 years old,” the singer told the crowd once he was back on stage. “I said, ‘Billy, what are you doin’?’ And you know what he said? She Wants Revenge are hitting the road. On Thursday, the dark alternative act announced the “Disappear Tour,” slate of summer headlining dates across the US. The tour signals a coming together between singer Justin Warfield and multi-instrumentalist Adam Bravin after their second indefinite breakup in 2020. English synthpop pioneers Heaven 17 have announced the 2022 “We Don’t Need This Fascist Groove Thang” North American tour. Named after their President Reagan-bashing single, the “We Don’t Need This Fascist Groove Thang” tour kicks off in September and spans 15 stops in the US and Canada. Todd Rundgren, King Crimson’s Adrian Belew, and several other musicians are taking David Bowie’s music on the road for the 2022 “Celebrating David Bowie” tour. The 15-date trek kicks off in October. The follow-up to 2018’s inaugural “Celebrating David Bowie” tour this iteration also features Fishbone’s Angelo Moore, Spacehog’s Royston Langdon and Jeffrey Gaines, bassist Angeline Saris, drummer Michael Urbano, saxophonist Ron Dziubla, and guitarist Angelo Bundini (otherwise known as Scrote). Together, the musicians will perform cuts from the late artist’s illustrious catalog in cities like Anaheim, Atlanta, Nashville, and Denver.
