Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford are joining the ever-expanding Yellowstone universe. Paramount+ has announced that the highly decorated actors will star in the latest prequel of the neo-Western’s origin story. Currently titled 1932, it debuts on the streamer in December. Coming from Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan, 1932 will follow the Dutton family during a time of western expansion at the intersection of the Prohibition and Great Depression, where pandemics and a historic drought also made life difficult. It’s the follow-up to Sheridan’s 1883 starring Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill, which tells the story of how the Duttons came to own the Montana land that became Yellowstone Ranch. Meanwhile, the Kevin Costner-led Yellowstone debuted in 2018 and just wrapped...
Marvel has unleashed the first trailer for its next Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Starring Tatiana Maslany, the show is set to premiere on August 17th. Maslany plays Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman law. She also happens to be the cousin of an Avenger, one Bruce “The Hulk” Banner (a returning Mark Ruffalo). In the comic books, Walters’ need for an emergency blood transfusion from her dear relative leads to her gaining the same gamma-induced superpowers, transforming her into the sensational She-Hulk. While it’s not clear exactly what causes her to gain the green skin and about five feet of height in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s clear her new look will cause some of the same issues. When Banner warns her that her powers are “triggered by ange...

It’s been nearly three years since new episodes of Black Mirror landed on Netflix, but Variety reports the streamer has now greenlit the dystopian sci-fi series for Season 6. Currently in pre-production, details of the new season are being kept under wraps, but Variety describes it as “more cinematic in scope,” with each episode being “treated as an individual film.” Considering most of the recent episodes have run well over an hour, it will be interesting to see how the Black Mirror showrunners take the series to the next level. An animated reboot of Married… with Children is set to reunite original stars Ed O’Neill, Katey Sagal, Christina Applegate, and David Faustino as the less-than-loving Bundy family. No network has yet reached an agreement to carry the cartoon, Deadline notes. But Sony Pictures Television, which owns the series, has already closed deals with the show’s stars. Reportedly, Fox (which aired the original), and Hulu and Peacock (which show reruns) are said to be interested. One of the longest-running live-action sitcoms in history, Married… with Children aired for 11 seasons between 1987 and 1997. It followed the Bundys, including ornery patriarch Al (O’Neill), a women’s shoe salesman who peaked as a high school football player, his lazy, derisive wife Peggy (Sagal),...
Sam and Juliette may have gone their separate ways, but their relationship still caused plenty of drama on tonight’s Siesta Key. After the Queen of Sarasota and her broken calendar delivered “the most half-assed, worst apology” to Sam for her Miami hookup, she found herself face-to-face yet again with her ex — and “the infamous Meghan.” Seems Cara invited literally everyone (except Garrett, obviously) to her moving-to-Tampa celebration, including the Miami model. Somebody grab the popcorn. Chloe didn’t hesitate to ask the obvious: “Why is the Meghan girl here?” Meanwhile, Juliette just had one question for her new nemesis: “You drove three hours for a pool party on a Wednesday?” M...
The Pitch: 1890s England: a time where the rapid rise of scientific knowledge — medicine, technology, archaeology — clashed with Christian superstitions and fairy tales. In the middle is Cora Seaborne (Claire Danes), a woman recently widowed from a wealthy, abusive spouse, who sees the opportunity to find out who she is and what she really wants out of life. A fortuitous report out of Essex gives her the chance: A winged, fanged “serpent” is reportedly snatching people up outside the sleepy port town of Aldwinter. Armed with her wits, her interest in “naturalism,” her curious son Francis, and adventurous maid/companion Martha (Hayley Squires), Cora leaves her comfortable London life to solve the mystery once and for all. But she quickly finds herself at odds with the paranoid, God-fea...
Ashley began the Teen Mom 2 season confessing that she and Bar got married off-camera and things between them were “super-rocky.” Some documented lows included Ashley’s mother Pastor Tea telling her daughter she should get a divorce as well as Bar confiding in his mother Shen that he needed to save their “dwindling” marriage because of his actions. However, through the ups and downs, Holly’s parents vowed to work on their relationship, and their time on Family Reunion (especially the conversations with Coach B) proved to be pivotal in changing their bond for the better. But one thing was missing. “I lost my ring,” Bar stated, while Ashley commented that he misplaced it in the parking lot at a casino. Ashley also stopped wearing her jewelry sh...
One of the best things about this era of television is how many different stories there are about complicated women, with Hacks standing out as the platonic ideal of this. The HBO Max comedy, which won multiple Emmys for its first season, returns for a second season this week, with world-famous comedy star Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) hitting the road with Ava (Hannah Einbinder), her writer/punching bag/adversary. The complicated relationship between the two women continues to drive the action this season, as both find themselves outside of their comfort zone and also caught up in a complex back-and-forth between love and hate. “Our writers have done such an amazing job of creating this world and taking it to places beyond our wildest dreams,” Einbinder tells Consequence about digging into t...
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are not afraid to bite the hand that feeds them, and so execs at Paramount+ might be feeling just a teensy bit nervous about the newly announced special movie event South Park: The Streaming Wars. A very brief teaser trailer is out now. Coming to Paramount+ on June 1st, The Streaming Wars is the third out of 14 movies in development, following the release of South Park: Post Covid and South Part: Post Covid: The Return of Covid last year. Few details are known at this time, but South Park did share a logline for the upcoming event: “Cartman locks horns with his mom in a battle of wills while an epic conflict unfolds that threatens South Park’s very existence.” As for the 15-second teaser trailer, only three seconds are...

Max Joseph — the show’s former co-host — will be featured when the series’ milestone installment airs. It’ll be the first time viewers have seen the filmmaker since he announced he was “moving on” from the docuseries after seven years by Nev’s side. Welcome back, Max! Their boots-on-the-ground powers will help them track down leads and dive deep into murky depths to uncover just how far catfishing goes in 2022.
