Danny Roberts documented his relationship with Paul Dill during The Real World: New Orleans in 2000. But when Paul came to visit his then-boyfriend in NOLA, his face had to be blurred. The reason: Paul was serving in the military — when Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was still in existence (Paul’s parents also didn’t know their son’s sexual orientation). But looking back 22 years later, Danny — who will reunite with his roomies on The Real World Homecoming beginning on April 20 on Paramount+ — wishes that he had not featured this very personal part of his life in front of the MTV production. “I think I would have gone back and encouraged Paul not to be on camera,” he admits in the video above when asked if there was anything he would have ...
Alison Brie‘s resume is packed with notable roles, from her breakout performance as Trudy Campbell, Pete Campbell’s spirited and long-suffering wife on Mad Men, her charming six-season run on Community as plucky and eager Annie Edison, and voice work in BoJack Horseman and The LEGO Movie. But as she tells Consequence, perhaps the most seismic project of her career was in GLOW, the Netflix comedy which fictionalized the creation of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling promotion from the 1980s. In the series, created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, Brie played Ruth Wilder, one of the operation’s founding wrestlers and creative influences, in a series that met with its share of behind-the-scenes controversies with regard to its treatment of people of color, but was unabashedly feminist in its st...
A jet-setting Juliette has returned to Siesta Key from Paris (Dior handbag and matching scarf in tow), and she’s ready to set some boundaries — but not with her ex Sam. During tonight’s episode, Jordana was spending even more time with Sam following his breakup with Jules. And the swimwear designer was more sus than ever that Jordana “ran to be by his side.” And if we’re being honest, Jordana has never been Juliette’s biggest fan, despite her dedication to painting that larger-than-life portrait. “I’m so over hearing Juliette’s name,” she told Sam during a kickboxing therapy session. “You’re a sweet guy, and she knew how to work you. I mean, this is what it is. You’re broken up. You know...

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will attempt to hide his tell in Rian Johnson’s upcoming Peacock series Poker Face, reports Variety. Details about Gordon-Levitt’s character and how many episodes he will appear in the mystery drama are being kept under wraps, but he is joining star and executive producer Natasha Lyonne. Not much is known about the series, except that it will follow a procedural format tasking Lyonne’s character with solving a different murder in each episode. Back in March 2021, Peacock announced Johnson would serve as the creator, writer, and director of Poker Face, which will consist of 10 episodes. Although it marks Johnson’s first time writing a TV show, he has previously directed three episodes of Breaking Bad (including Season 3’s “Fly”) and one episode of Te...
The Pitch: Years on, the American public is still obsessed with serial killers — who they are, what makes them tick, the lurid details of their murderous escapades. No one knows this more than the folks at Netflix, who toss out a new true-crime documentary every other week, and whose biggest hits include shows like Mindhunter. One of the platform’s biggest hits was 2019’s Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, which assembled a four-part chronicle of his crimes, his history, and the trial that ignited the public’s imagination. Now director Joe Berlinger is back with a follow-up, The John Wayne Gacy Tapes, drawing from nearly 60 hours of recorded interviews with another infamous mass murderer to tell another tale of lost innocence, the nature of madness, and the various...
Content warning: This article contains descriptions of sexual assault. In Molly Shannon’s new book Hello, Molly!, she recalled a disturbing encounter with Diff’rent Strokes star Gary Coleman, though the way she tells it, the incident was not without humor. Back when Shannon was a young, struggling actress, Coleman attempted to sexually assault her, but he was so small that she “didn’t feel physically threatened,” and managed to literally toss him aside. Shannon detailed the story in an April 12th appearance on The Howard Stern Show. In the late 1980s, the future Saturday Night Live star thought she had caught her big break when she attracted the attention of agent Mark Randall, who also represented Coleman. But a meeting with Randall turned out to be a se...

A decade after we first met Ted, the blockbuster film franchise is coming to the small screen. Peacock announced today the main recurring cast in their highly-anticipated Ted TV series, with Seth MacFarlane reprising his role as the titular foul-mouthed, anthropomorphic teddy bear. Joining MacFarlane in the Ted cast are Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why), Max Burkholder (Parenthood), and Scott Grimes (Oppenheimer). Ted is a loyal, supportive companion to the Bennett family — in spite of his moments of poor influence on John. Advertisement Related Video As you might expect...
