The Pitch: Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) have hit a roadblock in their relationship: he’s too aloof, she’s too controlling, and the pair are steamrolling towards an abrupt end. But on a last-ditch backpacking trip to rediscover their bliss, they stumble upon something stranger: A mysterious, brightly-lit town called Schmigadoon, where everything looks like a colorblind-cast version of a ’40s villa and the townspeople burst into song at the drop of a straw hat. Soon, they discover that they’re trapped in the cloyingly musical town until they can find “true love” — love that it seems they don’t have anymore (if they ever did). Will the two patch up and get out? Or will they have to find a way to adjust to this new, toe-tapping normal? Corn Puddin’, Corn Puddin’, ...

Lovecraft Country, the inventive HBO series from showrunner Misha Green, will not be returning for Season 2. Starring Jonathan Majors and Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and based on the book by Matt Ruff, Lovecraft Country salvaged some of the more durable themes of the infamous H.P. Lovecraft while flipping his persistent racism on its head. It combined elements of science fiction, horror, and social satire with a stunning period drama, and captivated audiences on route to becoming one of the best TV shows of 2020. Now it is no more. “We will not be moving forward with a second season of Lovecraft Country,” HBO said to Deadline. “We are grateful for the dedication and artistry of the gifted cast and crew, and to Misha Green, who crafted this groundbreaking series. And to the fans, t...
“I have the power!” Netflix has unveiled the first full-length trailer for its upcoming animated series Masters of the Universe: Revelation. The clip reintroduces fans to the world of Eternia, which is slowly losing its magic long after the events of the 1980s series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. “I built a life of truth, away from magic. Now you want me to save magic?” Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Teela, captain of Eternia’s royal guard, demands as she angrily tosses her tiara-like helmet to the ground. The answer to Teela’s query appears to be ‘yes,’ as she joins forces once again with Prince Adam (voiced by The Vampire Diaries’ Chris Wood) to protect their planet from Mark Hamill’s villainous Skeletor. “Whatever became of Eternia, we’ll face it. Together. No one else dies,” the pri...
Thanks to Jenni and Zack, the Poconos family vacation just began with a mini-celebration. “Sorry we were late — we were f*cking around and got engaged,” the Jersey Shore mother of two declared as they sat down for dinner with DJ Pauly D, Nikki, Mike, Lauren, Vinny and Ronnie. Jaws dropped and loud cheers followed, which was a very clear departure from the “savage” intro the pro wrestler faced several years back with this crew. “She said yes!” Pauly declared while he offered a sweet “welcome to the family” to Zack. Jenni soon clarified that her fiancé didn’t actually pop the question en route to the Pennsylvania resort (they were a bit tardy because of her kiddos) and he’d asked for her hand in marriage on her birthday at the...

Former Disney star Kyle Massey, best known for his work as Cory Baxter in That’s So Raven and Corey in the House, has been charged with a felony for communication with a minor for immoral purposes. The news was first reported by TMZ and has since been confirmed by Variety. Massey, 29, first became embroiled in controversy in 2019, when the alleged victim sued him for $1.5 million. The lawsuit claimed that starting in December 2018, Massey sent “numerous sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos,” through Snapchat. Massey said he was being extorted. Reportedly, the girl’s mother has provided police with a thumb drive containing the explicit material. This includes pornographic videos as well as footage of a man who seems to be Massey exposing his peni...
After Season 2 of Succession ended with a twist, fans will finally get to see the fallout in Season 3. HBO’s beloved satire will return with new episodes sometime this fall, the network’s chief content officer, Casey Bloys, announced on Tuesday. Season 2 finished airing in October of 2019, and Season 3 was among the many productions delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s frustrating for viewers because the show ended on a family-shattering moment, with Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) refusing to fall on his sword and instead stabbing his father (Brian Cox) in the back. According to an official description, “Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season 2, Logan Roy begins Season 3 in a perilous position. Scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial al...
Soon, The Weeknd’s acting resume will consist of more than his perfect cameo in Uncut Gems: the singer born Abel Tesfaye is set to star in, co-write, and executive produce a new show coming to HBO Max. Titled The Idol, the upcoming drama comes from co-creator Sam Levinson, known for his work on Euphoria and Malcolm & Marie. Deadline reports that The Idol will center around a female pop singer who begins romantically seeing a mysterious LA club owner, the latter of the two just so happening to lead a secret cult on the side. Tesfaye and Levinson created the series together alongside “nightlife entrepreneur-turned-writer” Reza Fahim. We don’t know much else about the series yet, but we’re excited. Stay tuned here for more info as we hear about it. Though it’s been over a year since the W...

Neil Gaiman was the bearer of good news on Tuesday morning, revealing Amazon has given a second season order to his apocalyptic comedy series, Good Omens. David Tennant (Dr. Who, Broadchurch) and Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) are returning as the demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale, respectively. Per Amazon, the “unlikely duo” will once again be “teaming up to save the world from the apocalypse” while living in London’s Soho. “The return of Good Omens is great news for me, personally,” said Tennant in a press statement about the second season renewal. “I get to work with Michael again, and I get to say Neil’s wonderful words once more. It’s probably less good for the universe as it almost certainly means there will be some fresh existential threat to its existence to deal with, but, y...
