This deal has reportedly been in the works for weeks now. While it’s not official just yet, it’s believed to include a “content channel” that will spotlight Glover’s work and various other productions on Amazon’s Prime Video hub, notes The Hollywood Reporter. How Teen Mom OG‘s Catelynn And Tyler Are Teaching Nova To ‘Work For What You Want’

As Nova gets older, Catelynn and Tyler want to to teach their kindergartner responsibility and that “nothing in this world is free.” “Every time we go to the store, she expects me to buy her a toy. And I do,” Cate told Ty during tonight’s Teen Mom OG episode, just before suggesting a solution to the problem. “I’m thinking chores where she can earn money, so that way she realizes you gotta work for what you want.” Next step: Bring it up to Nova. “Do you want to earn some money?” Cate asked her little girl while showing her a chore chart with “simple things” that would need to be done around the house. At first, Nova was not interested even after her mom explained a few choices (cleaning up toys, feeding the dog). Quickl...

Proud Boys Threaten Colin Kaepernick’s Miniseries Production

The filming location for the Netflix miniseries about Colin Kaepernick is on high security alert after a reported threat from the right-wing Proud Boys organization. On Friday, as TMZ reports, the anti-Black Lives Matter group was allegedly planning to protest the production about the former NFL quarterback-turned-civil rights icon. Producers were told in a memo last week that, “anti-BLM sentiments may protest against the production.” Additionally, two anonymous production members told TMZ that the office received an ominous phone call last week, believed to be from the militant far-right Proud Boys. Fortunately, the threat never materialized into anything physical. But TMZ reports that there were internal emails between executives and staff that added additional security measures in order...

Chris Harrison Stepping Away from The Bachelor Following Controversial Interview

Longtime Bachelor host Chris Harrison is stepping aside from the franchise “for a period of time” amidst a growing controversy over recent comments he made defending one of this season’s contestants against allegations of racism. Earlier this week, Harrison gave an interview to Extra during which he downplayed the past behavior of Rachael Kirkconnell. As Kirkconnell advanced further into this season of The Bachelor, a viral TikTok purported to reveal the contestant “liking” posts containing the Confederate flag and sharing QAnon conspiracy theories. Additionally, photos surfaced of her attending an “Old South” plantation-themed party in 2018 (via The Hollywood Reporter). Speaking to Extra correspondent Rachel Lindsay, who herself was the first-ever Black Bachelorette in 2017...

Gina Carano Reacts to Mandalorian Firing: “They Can’t Cancel Us If We Don’t Let Them”

The Manadalorian actress Gina Carano has shared her first public statement since being let go by Lucasfilm earlier this week. Lucasfilm and Carano’s talent agency UTA cut ties with the actress following a series of abhorrent social media postings, including one in which she compared being a Republican today to being Jewish during the Holocaust. Carano, who also previously spread misinformation about voter fraud and mocked individuals who used preferred pronouns, unsurprisingly showed no semblance of contrition in her statement. In fact, she says she’s “only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before.” “I’m sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer ...

FX’s Hip Hop Uncovered Is a Powerful Watch: Review

The Pitch: Far too often, the history of hip-hop is condensed to make its origins more palatable for younger fans. Black folks in New York — downtrodden by systems that perpetuated poverty, racism, and police brutality — pioneered a form of creative expression meant to give a platform to their pain. However, FX’s Hip Hop Uncovered explores the genre’s complexity. More importantly, it analyzes rap music in a sociopolitical context. From slavery to the destruction of Black Wall Street to the war on drugs to the Black Lives Matter movement, Hip Hop Uncovered reminds viewers of the brutal American history that has always worked to violate and abuse Black people. It also demystifies some of rap’s most prominent figures who were pivotal in the careers of artists like Nipsey Hussle, Nicki Minaj, ...
