DJ Pauly D and Vinny are here to “prank the sh*t out of you.” The Jersey Shore boys are back with new episodes of Revenge Prank with DJ Pauly D and Vinny, which features the lovable pair helping the target of a viral Internet prank get payback on a friend, family member or loved one who embarrassed them in the past. “If you can dream it, they can prank it!” “It’s about to go down!” Vinny states in the first look at the upcoming antics, above. What exactly does that mean? An engagement gone awry, a bunch of people puking and someone throwing weights at glass. “Awkward!” sounds accurate. See more of Revenge Prank with DJ Pauly D and Vinny in the sneak peek — and do not miss the premiere on Thursday, January 7 at 9/8c (right after a ...

Sharon Osbourne Tests Positive for COVID-19, Briefly Hospitalized

Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19, and was briefly hospitalized as a result. She is now recuperating at a location away from her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, who recently disclosed that he has emphysema, among his other health issues. The 68-year-old host of the daytime TV program The Talk reported her positive test result via Twitter on Monday evening (December 14th), writing, “I wanted to share I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. After a brief hospitalization, I’m now recuperating at a location away from Ozzy (who has tested negative) while The Talk is on scheduled hiatus. Everyone please stay safe and healthy.” Sharon, who is also Ozzy’s manager, went public with her COVID-19 diagnosis just a few days after her Talk co-host Carrie Ann Inaba had shared that...

The Sopranos Cast Announces Virtual Reunion

For the first time since creator David Chase abruptly cut to black, The Sopranos is throwing a family reunion. Via The Hollywood Reporter, on December 18th, surviving cast members will join together in a two-hour live event to read a *new* Sopranos sketch co-written by Chase and Terrence Winter. The project benefits Friends of Firefighters. Running from 1999 to 2007, the story of Tony Soprano’s family, co-workers, and shrink redefined prestige television and raised expectations for the entire medium. While the don himself James Gandolfini unfortunately passed away in 2013, some of the show’s biggest names will return for the fundraiser, including Edie Falco, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Robert Iler, Michael Imperioli, Drea de Matteo, Steven Van Zandt, Maureen Van Zandt,...

Saturday Night Live Has Officially Moved on from the Election to the Pandemic

Since taking several post-election weeks off, following a record-setting six live shows in a row, Saturday Night Live has been in a period of relative calm. Things seem back to normal even: They’re two shows into their usual three-show December lineup; the set was decorated for the holidays this week; and next weekend sees another alum-hosted episode — an unofficial pre-Christmas tradition. What’s more, Jim Carrey, Alec Baldwin, and Maya Rudolph have been MIA for two weeks in a row, and those labored debate sketches are a thing of the past. In a sense, SNL has felt almost like comfort food. In lieu of room-temperature political takes, the show has re-shifted its focus over the last two episodes to the ensuing pandemic. It’s an understandable pivot, seeing how December has seen some of the ...

The Stand Reboot Is Christmas for Stephen King’s Most Constant Readers: Review

The Pitch: Based on Stephen King’s 1978 novel, The Stand is an apocalyptic epic that sees 99.4% of the world’s population decimated by a lethal strain of government-stamped influenza. What humanity remains is spiritually drawn into a climactic battle of good and evil. On one end is Mother Abagail (Whoopi Goldberg) and her ragtag team of survivors out in the Rockies. On the other is Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard), a Canadian tuxedoed force who has amassed a devoted following nearby in Sin City. Place your bets. Danse Macabre: To say the road to this reboot has been long is an understatement. Prior to landing at CBS All Access, the project had been in development hell since the latter half of Obama’s first term. This is back when Warner Bros. initially envisioned it as a theatrical even...

Matt Smith (image via BBC), Olivia Cooke (image via Instagram), and Emma D’Arcy (image via Instagram) The cast of House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel set 300 years before the events of the HBO series, is finally coming into focus. Via The Hollywood Reporter, the show has added Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One), Matt Smith (Doctor Who, The Crown), and Emma D’Arcy (Wanderlust). The events of this new show will be drawn from Fire and Blood, George R.R. Martin’s 2018 book about the history of the Targaryen house. In October, HBO announced that Paddy Considine will play King Viserys Targaryen. Now, we know a bit more about the rest of the Targaryen clan. Smith is set to play Prince Daemon Targaryen, described by HBO as the “younger brother to King Viserys and heir to ...

Does Mando Still Believe In the Creed? The Mandalorian, Explained

After the absolute barrage of announcements that came out of Disney’s Investor Day yesterday, including the confirmation that 10(!) new Star Wars properties are coming out in the next few years (two Mandalorian spinoffs among them), it feels almost quaint to check back in with what The Mandalorian is up to this week. And yet, Chapter 15, “The Believer”, written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, reminds us why Disney has so much confidence in Star Wars as a brand and a franchise. The penultimate episode of the season can often be a lighter, more disposable affair, setting up chess pieces for a climactic showdown in the finale. Sure, this week does that in spades, but also manages to weave that among a few clever cinematic homages, an incredible return appearance from Bill Burr, ...

Elite Agent: Can Aneesa Get Her First Challenge Win — After Almost 20 Years?

Aneesa was a fresh-faced rookie on The Challenge: Battle of the Sexes back in 2002. The Real World: Chicago alum was eliminated halfway through Season 6 when it was revealed that she had big plans to oust one of the game’s top dogs. Nearly 20 years later, Aneesa, now 39, might finally earn her first victory for the same type of cunning, and frankly, it wouldn’t be a moment too soon. On the premiere episode of Double Agents, 15 men and 15 women gathered in Iceland to get the game in motion. And it only took a few moments before competitors had each other in headlocks, pushed each other down steep hills and accrued bruises to secure early victory. In “Mission Decryption,” players — separated into same-sex heats — raced to the top of a mound of sediment to glimpse a code etched onto the side ...

Xochitl Gomez (photo via Instagram/@_xochitl.goemz), Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury (Marvel), and Christian Bale (via WikiCommons) Forget stockholders; Disney’s investor’s presentation on Thursday was the best first-night-of-Hanukkah gift Marvel fans could ask for. Kevin Feige was on hand to present updates on the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe projects — and boy were there a lot of updates. After showing teasers and trailers for all of Marvel’s mostly completed Disney+ series (WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Ms. Marvel, and What If…?), Feige unloaded a stream of other upcoming projects. Some we knew about, such as Hawkeye; the Marvel head confirmed long-standing rumors (substantiated by recent on-set photos) that Hailee Steinfeld is playing the new Hawkeye, Kate Bi...

Will Natalie Take Advantage Of The Double Agents Twist That ‘Will Change Everything’?

TJ Lavin flipped The Challenge “upside down” during the final moments of the Double Agents premiere. And the first person to face the game-changing dynamics is obviously a Challenge rookie. Two-time Survivor competitor Natalie, who won San Juan del Sur and finished second on Winners at War, edged out Ashley in the first win or go home mission of Season 36. Operation: Fire Escape was a Crater battle between the ladies — which left Natalie’s partner Wes and Ashley’s teammate CT to watch from the sidelines. And when Natalie bested Ashley in her first ever immunity elimination and earned the first Red Gold Skull — for one of only ten to compete in the final — TJ had quite the twist for the MTV newbie. And no, it wasn’t fire tokens. “As the ...
