Three heavenly bodies have appeared on the horizon: John C. Reilly, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Armisen are banding together to write, produce, and star in the new series Moonbase 8. The out-of-this-world comedy will crash land on Showtime in the fall. The show has been described in a statement as “a workplace comedy that follows three subpar astronauts living at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator with high hopes of being chosen to travel to the moon.” The series is a co-production of A24 and Heidecker’s Abso Lutely Productions, with Jonathan Krisel serving as co-creator, director, and writer. This Man Was Being Catfish-ed By His Very Own Sister

Best friends, exes, scorned cousins: Catfish come in all shapes and sizes, but the show’s latest adventure got creepily close to the family tree and made even Cruel Intentions look tame. It all started with a man named Dre, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana whom Nev and Kamie met through a Zoom call. Dre, described by his brother as a “born flirt,” had been talking to a makeup artist named Casey through Instagram and loved that she was attentive and confident. The big problem? Casey wouldn’t call or video chat and once implied she needed money to fix her phone. The bigger problem? Dre had a girlfriend of six years, with whom he had a daughter. In an ideal world, Dre said, he, his girlfriend Rebecca and Casey could exist in a relationship together, but Kamie pointed out that such a thing wa...

Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) “Would Sign” Petition to Remake Final Game of Thrones Season

Add Tywin Lannister to the list of those “disappointed” by Game of Thrones’ ending. In an interview with Pop Culture, actor Charles Dance was asked about remaking the final season, and said, “Well if there was a petition, I would sign it.” HBO’s beloved fantasy series ended in a controversy over quality — for cast and crew as well as audiences. It was such a divisive season that fans started a petition to remake the entire thing, a move series star Sophie Turner called “disrespectful.” An HBO boss rejected that petition, while Nikolaj Coster-Waldau argued that the 32 Emmy nominations “validate the writing.” Still, one GoT director said the series finale felt “really rushed,” and many viewers agree to this day: that fan petition has surpassed 1.8 million signatures. Dance seemed u...

The Ellen DeGeneres Show Producers Ousted Following Investigation

The Ellen DeGeneres Show experienced some senior personnel shakeups on Monday afternoon. As Variety reports, executive producers Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, and Jonathan Norman have all “parted ways” with the series following Warner Media’s investigation over allegations of misconduct and an environment of fear. At the time, they were immediately suspended, though sources report their contracts have since been terminated. The Office’s Stanley Shares Racist Backlash He Got After Announcing Spin-Off Series

Last month, The Office actor Leslie David Baker launched a Kickstarter to produce Uncle Stan: Coming out of Retirement, a spin-off series about his character Stanley Hudson. The announcement was met with excitement and praise, but Baker has revealed that it’s not all sunshine and pretzels. In an Instagram post, he revealed some racist messages he’s received since announcing the planned show. “For those of you who don’t believe racism is still alive in the world… here’s the proof,” he wrote. The screenshots Baker shared are Instagram DMs and Reddit comments by various strangers. They use racial slurs, feature lynching photos, and accuse Baker of stealing the Kickstarter money for personal profit. “Our goal has simply been to entertain and give the fans a quality series,” wrote Baker in his ...

#BBNaija: Why I was voted out – Kaisha

Kaisha, the latest housemate to be evicted from BBNaija Lockdown, has given the reason her fellow housemates voted her out of the reality show. She also said her eviction didn’t come to her as a surprise. Kaisha made this disclosure shortly after she was evicted. She told Ebuka in a chat before leaving the house that she wasn’t surprised that majority of her fellow housemates nominated her for eviction because, according to her, she knew they disliked her because of their attitude towards her during the our weeks she spent in the house. Kaisha’s statement rings true, given the fact that of the four housemates listed for eviction after fans had cast their votes, she did not score the least votes. The housemates voted her out after she, Trikytee, Wathoni and Neo were the ones with the least ...

Drake Bell Accused of Emotional and Physical Abuse

Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has been accused of emotional and physical abuse. The allegations were made by ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt in a string of TikTok videos on Wednesday, as Entertainment Weekly reports. According to Lingafelt, she and the Drake & Josh actor dated for about two years beginning in 2006. Everything started out fine enough. “I started dating Drake when I was 16. I was homeschooled, I moved in with him. I was singing,” she recalled, before detailing how things quickly deteriorated. “It wasn’t until about a year when the verbal abuse started, and when I say verbal abuse, imagine the worst type of verbal abuse you could imagine and that’s what I got,” stated Lingafelt, who is now 30 and also goes by the stage name Jimi Ono. His behavior only got worse ...
