HipHopWired Featured Video Source: Ubisoft / Rainbow Six Extraction Ubisoft hopes the idea of adding an alien threat in Rainbow Six Extraction with some tweaks will breathe new energy into its famed Rainbow Six video game franchise, and for the most part, it does. Step into our review. Rainbow Six Extraction, formally known as Rainbow Six Quarantine when it was announced at E3 2019, didn’t immediately blow gamers away. Hell, many of us thought this was just some DLC coming to Rainbow Six Siege until we all learned Ubisoft revealed it would be a standalone title. Initially, the game saw the human race dealing with a virus, but due to VERY OBVIOUS reasons, the game’s developers changed the name and the game’s theme. Source: ROBYN BECK / Getty Google Stadia’s library of games has just gotten a significant boost from Ubisoft. Not to be left and forgotten in a video game world where PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch currently dominate, Google Stadia is quietly trying to make its mark. Google’s ambitious video game streaming service just got a significant shot in the arm from Ubisoft that should please those gamers who have taken a chance with the still new video game service. Android Central reports that Ubisoft’s subscription service, Ubisoft+ (formerly known as Uplay+), is now available for both free Stadia and Stadia Pro subscribers. The subscription service will roll out to US Stadia customers in a “BETA” format. It will cost $15 a month, which will give them access to AAA titles like Assas...
Source: Ubisoft / Immortals Fenyx Rising It doesn’t happen often, but now and then, a game that wasn’t on your radar sneaks up on you and completely takes you by surprise. Ubisoft’s Immortals Fenyx Rising is one of those games. The game formally known as Gods and Monsters takes players on an epic mythological adventure, think God of War meets The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild with a dash of Assassin’s Creed. You’re the Gods and the world’s last hope to keep Typhoid from turning the world into a dark place for him and his creatu...
Source: Ubisoft / Watch Dogs: Legion With the Watch Dogs franchise, Ubisoft has a unique situation on its hands. The first game didn’t quite live up to expectations, while the follow-up was vastly better. Could the studio keep the success going with Watch Dogs: Legion? Before I answer that burning question, let’s just set the scene for the third game in Watch Dog’s growing franchise. When you hit, start you find yourself in near-future London. The famed hacktivist group, Dedsec, has been outlawed after being framed for a terrible terrorist attack by an unknown enemy that rocks the home of Big Ben. As a direct result, London turns to a private military group called Albion to snuff out Dedsec. Source: Ubisoft / Watch Dogs: Legion With the arrival of the evil mercenary group, London is now tu...

Still, we do know that Jason Altman (Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet) and Danielle Kreinik, who serves as Director of Television Development at Ubisoft, will serve as executive producers on the show. In a press release, Jason Altman, Head of Ubisoft Film & Television, said about the forthcoming series: “For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world h...
Source: Ubisoft / Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the next installment in Ubisoft’s famed Assassin’s Creed franchise, is about to drop in about under a month. I had a chance to experience a whopping 6 hours of gameplay of the game in an exclusive preview, which left me feeling very optimistic about the forthcoming title. Pre-COVID-19, Ubisoft would have invited us out to get hands-on with the game, but they had to improvise like every other industry and company. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to play due to hardware limitations, but Ubisoft set it up where I had my own personal “tour guide” for 6 hours to show me a sizeable chunk of the game before it launches. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, we are transported to the lush world of ninth-century England, ditching the bright...
