Cancel Alert: CrossFit CEO Tweets Racist Remark, Reeboks Ends Partnership

Source: Reebok / Reebok When will brands learn that any slick talk concerning our people or plight will not be tolerated? One company got a swift reminder last week. To which Greg Glassman said “It’s FLOYD-19”. Naturally his response left a very sour taste in many people’s mouths; regardless of gender or race. So much so the tweet went viral causing some of the fitness league’s partners to act accordingly.  It’s FLOYD-19. — Greg Glassman (@CrossFitCEO) June 6, 2020 According to The Morning Chalk Up Ree...

Village People’s Victor Willis Tells Trump to Stop Playing Group’s Music at Rallies

Trump supporters may not be hearing “Y.M.C.A.” at his rallies anytime soon. Following a Friday Facebook post from vocalist Victor Willis, the Village People have just joined the ever-growing list of artists requesting the president doesn’t play their music at his rallies, which already included Rihanna, Aerosmith and Prince’s estate. Willis’ request came after protesters were cleared outside of the White House so President Trump could have his photo taken in front of a church last week. “If Trump orders the U.S. military to fire on his own citizens (on U.S. soil), Americans will rise up in such numbers outside of the White House that he might be forced out of office prior to the election. Don’t do it Mr. President,” Willis wrote. “And I ask that you no longer use any of my music at your ra...

Source: Rob Kim / Getty Don’t believe everything you see and hear during these times. One brazen story of the poor robbing from the rich seems to be all cap. As spotted on GQ a tale of a pair of modern day Robin Hoods made a big splash across social media on Monday, June 1. Initial reports alleged that two unidentified individuals ransacked a Rolex store in downtown Manhattan. One police officer who responded to the incident theorized that the two suspects might have hit a seven figure lick. “The Rolex store is empty. They stole like 2.4 million in Rolexes” he said live from the scene. But Gentleman’s Quarterly has investigated it further and the jack move merely resulted in just minor vandalism. First the location in question is not a Rolex store but a Watches of Switzerland – an authoriz...

Disney Deploys Stormtroopers to Remind Patrons of Social Distancing

While Disney World in Orlando won’t reopen until next month, the House of Mouse recently revived the outdoor shopping center at Disney Springs. New coronavirus safety measures include reduced capacity, mandatory face masks, and a pair of bumbling First Order stormtroopers reminding patrons to maintain social distancing. In a video posted by Attractions Magazine, the stormtroopers are much closer to entertainment than security. They stand above visitors on a balcony, pointing prop guns skywards, while scripted dialogue is piped through loudspeakers. Even from the few snippets, their distinct personalities come through. The male trooper is a grating brown-noser, while the female soldier hates her job and wishes she could be anywhere else. This tension between them provides an excuse for...
